I read something that he start getting shifted against from 3 or 4% to 12 or 13% over the last two years. Which could explain why his peripherals have remained the same but his numbers have gone down.

Also I dont think there is any chance they are signing him as a primary DH. He's not even that good of a hitter. If they were going to trade Vaughn I'd rather them try to get JDM for DH.

Gray or Marquez from the Rockies would be interesting. Some of the posters here are putting too much stock in the prospects after Vaughn. They likely won't have any viable path to this team unless something really bad happens. Assuming we get a SP and RF there is no spot for a Walker or anyone to even fill. Maybe hold onto Dunning incase Lopez fizzles out? They need to get a #2 SP, I don't really care what they give up for it.

But realistically what hole is going to need to be plugged in from the minors? This roster is essentially set for the next 4 years after we add a RF. I wouldn't have any problem trading away anybody after Vaughn.

The argument can be made that Castellanos is improving (and younger) by a look at any of his metrics over the last 2-3 years, including his OPS+ which takes park factor into account. I think his bat will be much better over the course of a 5 year deal than Ozunas.

I didn't look at their projections but thats where I have him at, 3/50. Anything more than that feels like a big overpay for me. Fangraphs likes him for projections but he's not that exciting based on his last 2 years of production.

5/80-90 for him feels like way too much. He has been pretty stagnant the last 2 years offensively. I would hate this deal.

There's a few to trade for but Joc would be up there as he should not cost much. Calhoun is a hard no, I see him coming here and falling apart.

If they sign him I really hope its not more than 50/3. He is streaky and plays out of control at times. RF was our last position we could have really upgraded and grabbed a LH bat. It just seems silly to do this before the Winter meetings.
