This isn't even worth debating. Almost all of his earned runs on his near 7 ERA have come in the first 2 innings. That is a problem that still hasn't been addressed.

He has an ERA of 11 in the first inning. That has plagued him all year. That is not a "statistical oddity" that he gets blown up almost every start the first 2 innings. That is called a pattern.

Did Ricky and Cooper ever say definitively if Cease was tipping pitches? Last I heard they were "looking into it".

Kopech is going to be on an innings limit and Rodon won't be back till after the ASB. Dunning was in AA before he got hurt and will also be on a limit. That wouldn't make any sense unless they plan on running out Covey as the 5th starter and have an opener or something some games.

Good. There needs to be more of this. If they flop this offseason or go bargain shopping there are no more excuses. The full core outside of Vaughn will be up next year.
