  1. I think he COULD be available just because he's 26 with 3 years under his belt. They would want a good return though.
  2. I don't disagree with you at all there isn't a premium guy out there, closest thing is Ozuna. BoSox were "allegedly" shopping Benintendi. That would be a perfect guy to get if available. I just don't think we have the prospects.
  3. Ozuna>>>>>>>>>>Castellanos, Puig. I agree there aren't a lot, and this is why getting multiple pieces from drafts is so important. We don't really have anything to trade. You have to assume a guy like Mitch Haniger could be available or 26 year old Brian Anderson from Miami maybe, Clint Frazier if that does anything for you. But we don't have pieces to aquire that. Would the Sox trade a Dalquist, Sheets, ++ to get a guy? I wouldn't want them to do that either. That's the FO's job so we'll see. I just don't see Mazarras and Polanco's as upgrades. You are better off with Leury there.
  4. They aren't though. Both are like 4th OF types right now. Do they have more upside, yeah. But guys like that should not be who the Sox are targeting. Polanco has more negative bWAR this year than Cordell and Mazarra has like 1.6 in his career. Now if you want to bring those guys in to platoon or something or as 4th OF's cool.
  5. So would Ryan Cordell. Those guys suck.
  6. I don't think they have money for that. They are pretty extended financially and I don't think they have much coming off. Plus guys in arb years.
  7. I'd really like to see Eloy get 30 this year and get his average around 260. Hopefully last night gets him going a little bit in the power department.
  8. Im really indifferent on Castellanos and idk why. He's just kind of meh to me. Either way they have to address it especially after the clown show that's been out there all year.
  9. Eloy needs to elevate, start pulling the ball, and have a better plan at the plate. Cease obviously has to fix his control and come up with a new pregame strategy for the first couple innings. Lopez is who concerns me the most. He needs another pitch he can get swinging strikes with and fix command. Most games he is a 2 pitch pitcher. I'm not really worried about Eloy at all and not so much Cease either.
  10. Of course. Rick Hahn is doing the peepee dance trying to get ahead of that one.
  11. I think they are just getting ahead of it. Unless there are some more tragic injuries the Sox will be around .500 or better next year. I went to like 14 or 15 games so far this year and just eye balling it attendance looks to be up pretty significantly.
  12. It's all of Cook County. We commonly do search warrants on houses where guns/drugs are recovered only to hit the same house within a year where guns/drugs are recovered. These violent criminals are getting out on I-Bonds (No money) for repeat gun offenses, carjackings, armed robberies, et cetera. They don't care about getting arrested because they might sit a total of a couple months before they are out again. Nobody really makes a big deal about this. There are like ~200 people on Electronic Monitoring for violent crimes, which is another trick the Judges like, that are just missing. Nobody knows where they are, lol.
  13. What a weapon he will be the 2nd week of the season 2020.
  14. Nobody with a brain in their head wants Alex Gordon, Greg. These are the types of players Sox fans want or expect when they believe we will have a 90 million dollar payroll again next year. Bunk.
  15. I mean yeah they are, but his only big issue was a long swing. It got exposed with MLB pitching and was a quick and easy correction. Plus side if Collins reaches his potential that is a big ass upgrade for this team. High OBP + slugging lefty? Yes, give me more.
  16. Right, but it was silly in the first place to write him off because of a mechanical issue. It was something easily fixable.
  17. This is hypothetical as hell and you know that. It makes more sense for the Sox to get players under control as next year they might be around 500.
  18. That's called "getting ahead of it". He got called out after Collins start raking and tried to change his position. Because apparently 20 something year olds with long swings are unable to shorten up.
  19. This. I would like Joc. I wouldn't like 1 year of Joc for Walker and Sheets or whoever.
  20. You don't know if he would want to be extended or test FA. You are giving up pieces for 1 year of a guy you don't know will want an extension or not. If we were going to give up the limited chips we have I'd prefer it to be for somebody under control.
  21. Man tim has crushed a couple tonight for outs
  22. Collins has looked good tonight.
  23. Because he only has a year of control left and we'd have to trade for him. We don't exactly have a lot of pieces. Wasn't that deal supposed to involve Bummer anyways? I'd rather sign Ozuna or even Castellanos over a year of Pederson with the hope he doesn't want to test FA.
  24. Meh, Pederson made sense this year if we got Machado. Doesn't he only have a year of control left?
