That's a lot of swing and miss. That game was really chippy and Barco showed some good emotion. A lot of people have been waiting for this from him. Hopefully he's able to keep it rolling.
Huff was famous in HS. Vandy recruits usually are. He transfered to GT and I think this is his 4th year and it looks like he's finally starting to figure it out. I'm not sure 4th year guys will be in the mix for 1-26 but he may be a good option in round 2-4. Another good one to follow.
They and many others definitely miscalculated the players resolve. When all is said and done I think the CBT will look very similar to what is was and the players will get moderate gains in min salary and arb pool. The draft lottery bullshit is insignificant.
They haven't even acknowledged the PA's offer. It's their favorite thing in the world. They don't want to give an inch because that would set a precedent.
I don't think you can overvalue control. Over 20% of minor leaguers were able to increase their velocity by at least 1.5 mph while only 8% were able to improve their strike throwing percentage. All things being equal I'll take the command guy and hope he increases his velocity over the hard thrower and hope he learns to throw strikes.
