Good. It's decision time on him. Let him work out of the bullpen the rest of the season. If he shows he can be part of the future, great. If not, he gets released in the off season (or sooner). There is no reason for him to still be in the minors.
I watched a couple of Tim's AB's sunday and he did not look good. No one wants Tim back more than I do but I want him 100% healthy and ready to go and not because the team is a lifeless sack of crap without him.
I think the order is selected at the GM meetings in November so it would be very difficult to trade for one of those picks now because they won't know if the pick will be in comp round A (after the first round or comp round B (after the 2nd round).
This is as close as this dumbass organization gets to firing someone. They'll move his desk next to Milton in the storage room and as soon as everyone forgets about him he'll be shown the door. His reign of terror is finally over.
That may be true if you're the Yankees or Dodgers and always picking in the back of the draft but if you have a top pick you have to try to hit a home run every single time.
They promoted him to get him the hell out of the scouting department. They're too chicken shit to get him out of the building because they're more worried about public perception than they are about getting it right. It's a joke.
