  1. This has me thinking about when I should start The John Reinsdorf Era thread.
  2. He has so much deception in his delivery. He throws his glove at the hitter then he has that short quick arm action right behind it and the ball gets on the hitter fast. It really makes his stuff play up. He's going to be so much fun to watch.
  3. I think Pillar is gone. Pham will play almost everyday (that's why he signed here) either in LF/CF. Sheets will shift between RF/1b and Grossman and Fletcher between CF/RF. Benintendi is going to see his PT greatly reduced.
  4. Joe Musgrove is my comp for Cannon. Body type is almost identical and the stuff is similar though Musgrove may be a tick better but Cannon has the better command. I think everyone would be happy if that's what he is.
  5. My (current) top 5: 1. Cags 2. Smith 3. Griffin 4. Rainer 5. Monty
  6. You honestly think he called that a strike because of framing?
  7. It depends what narrative we're doing today.
  8. That's why we liked him so much in the draft. Gotta love those durable big bodied strike throwers.
  9. Hang on. The Rays are playing Braydon Taylor at SS. Christ
  10. They tried to trade for Busch twice. They wanted him badly.
  11. Dems a lot of scouts.
  12. and then what? They have 3 wins instead of 2 and they trade him at the deadline for some 26 yr old in A ball?
  13. Ahmed Rosario. He's the difference maker huh. Ok.
  14. There were obviously no in house options and he had little money to spend. Who was he supposed to bring in? Who are these cheap great players with trade value?
  15. They were only brought in to be shoved out. Why does it matter when it happens.
  16. He's changing the organization bottom to top. It's not going to show up on the big league team yet. This organization was a dumpster fire. It's going to take some time.
  17. Yes. I'm not afraid to draft college pitching especially when you can get arguably the best pitcher in the draft.
  18. Griffin has outrageous tools. I keep going back and forth between him and Rainer. I'm out on Bazzana and half out on Burns. I'm not sure Bazzana stays on the dirt or how his power will translate to the next level. I still think Burns is a reliever but I'm trying to keep a sort of open mind. I will be very happy if they get Cags, Smith or Griffin/Rainer.
  19. Cleveland is a tough one to figure out. They love their contact oriented middle infielders. Their system is littered with them and that would lean more towards Wetherholt (man some guys REALLY like him) than Bazzana. They did take DeLauter a couple years ago so maybe they go with a higher ceiling guy like Cags or Condon. I would be surprised if they take one of the pitchers but they are a data driven org and Burns is a data darling. Hopefully they take one of Wetherholt or Bazzana because that's a better chance Cags or Smith get to pick 5.
  20. The holdovers: Robert- hurt Moncada- hurt Eloy- hurt Benintendi- abomination Vaughn- horrible Lee- bad Sosa- bad Remillard- useless Sheets- good Crochet- awesome (in a new role) Kopech- good (in a new role) Banks- meh
