  1. Absolutely no one in the history of ever said his injuries are behind him. He's very likely to get hurt again if he's a starter or a reliever so they may as well try to maximize his value before that happens.
  2. Not many big league 1B can make that play. I don't think Cags would have much of a problem transitioning to RF if that's the direction a team wanted to go.
  3. Hagan Smith is really good.
  4. No chance. I can see maybe one team being dumb but not four.
  5. 1. Cags but he won't be there at 5. 2. I think Getz would love for Smith or Burns to be there at 5. if not I think they go Rainer. 3. Very much yes. Jerry did not like Jeremy Haber. He was Hahns guy.
  6. Cags 2nd bomb of the night.
  7. Sounds like they're trying to sign both.
  8. They're always a couple steps behind.
  9. Agreed. Bazzana and Wetherholt are both limited players because they're below avg athletes. They would be the same in a long line of recent college position players the Sox have drafted. Collins, Berger, Madrigal, Vaughn, Gonzalez. All these guys are limited players because they're not good athletes. They have to move away from drafting this type of player and draft plus athletes with tools and high ceilings. One or even both of Wetherholt and Bazzana may end up being fine players but I don't want them to draft a fine player. I want them to draft a high impact difference maker.
  10. That would be great. Leave the good players for the Sox.
  11. You understand this stuff. You watch the players. How do you feel about them?
  12. I think it's an A+ when you factor in what other the teams were offering. The Padres offer blew away all the other offers.
  13. Kid has a pretty swing.
  14. and the relief will be....his son!
  15. Burdick was designated for assignment. I never understand that claim. That guy stinks.
  16. What a fantastic trade. The new guy done did good!
  17. My Hey hey post from yesterday was the funniest post in the history of this message board.
  18. @fathomwill be very happy Benetti isn't the anouncer anymore.
  19. Boom goes the dynamite!
  20. I have no idea what Cashman is thinking. He should easily be the most aggressive GM for Cease and he's still playing games. Maybe Hal gave him a lifetime contract.
  21. The Yankees made an offer but it didn't include any of their high impact players. For some reason they think they can acquire Cease with a collection of their low tier guys.
  22. I'd take Leiter in a minute. They tried to change the shape of his fastball and fucked him up. Then they tried damage control and fucked him up even more. I'd let him to go back to how he was in college and let him throw the s%*# out of it again.
