  1. LOL. I guess he's technically correct because none of the players involved in the Burnes trade would be part of a Cease trade BUT if Elias wasn't willing to give up any of his high end players before the Burnes trade he's sure as hell not going to give them up now.
  2. Same group it's been. This changes nothing. The O's have been out for a while.
  3. I still think he gets traded before the start of the season.
  4. Getz had a group of three players he targeted from the O's. He wanted two of them. The O's were only willing to give up one of them. A deal was never going to happen because they were too far away. Ortiz was not one of the three players.
  5. Curiel coming out of the gates hot. Kid's got an absolutely gorgeous swing.
  6. Frank (and countless other great hitters) didn't try to pound the ball into the ground and he didn't manufacture a swing to HIT THE BALL IN THE AIR. He didn't collapse his backside or try to catch the ball out front. He hit the bottom of the baseball and backspun (backspinned?) it in the air. It's becoming a lost art for some reason because it's "easier" for these idiots to teach an artificial swing to HIT THE BALL IN THE AIR! and it's ruining a generation of hitters.
  7. Here's another one of my all time favorite videos. Dante Bichette talking about pulling the ball in the air. "You might hit for more power but you're not going to be a good hitter."
  8. Great hitters like Frank have to speak up more about what the charlatans on twitter are teaching kids. Why so many are listening to people who were backups on their HS teams is astounding. They're ruining an entire generation of hitters.
  9. Colson didn't have the luck of the draw this year. His name got stuck towards the bottom of the hat.
  10. The Rangers traded for a lot of pitching last year I'd be very surprised if they traded for another high end pitcher.
  11. A salary cap so dickbag owners can make even more money but people will be momentarily entertained during the off season. Brilliant!
  12. Did you know who Justin Topa was before last season? These relievers pop up out of no where and then they're gone just as quickly. They'll replace him with someone else no one has ever heard of.
  13. I love this deal for Seattle. They got a middle of the order power bat they desperately needed for some spare parts and a highly flawed prospect.
  14. Is there a difference between wanting AJ Smith-Shawver from the Braves and wanting Woo or Miller from the Mariners?
  15. I LOVED that dude in the draft. He's a nasty SOB. I loved Emerson Hancock in college. Emerson Hancock and Colt Emerson are confusing the hell out of me.
  16. – It’s hard to believe the Baltimore Orioles, after winning 101 games last year, won’t do anything more this winter than sign veteran closer Craig Kimbrel to a one-year, $13 million contract to replace injured Felix Bautista. They need another frontline starter, but talks with the White Sox for Dylan Cease have stopped. Shocking
  17. I think if Elias were seriously pursuing a starting pitcher he would have acquired one before Jan 27. Seems he's just waiting for the cheapest option.
  18. I don't think they're asking for too much. Teams see there are still other options available so at this time they're unwilling to be the one to step up and pay the price. Those options will eventually sign and there will be teams left with a serious need for top end pitching. Patience
  19. Longenhagen is worth reading because he does have some interesting thoughts and insights on players but his grading scale/system is messed up and it doesn't always equal what he writes. These reports seem to be writen by someone named Tess sooooo.......yeah.
  20. He kinda looks like the lil guy. Hopefully he's not a bag too.
