Crochet is also an insanely hard worker who crushes his between start arm/shoulder care program unlike another recent White Sox left hander. As long as he's feeling good and strong I see no reason to shut him down based on some arbitrary innings limit.
Starting is easier on all pitchers body's. There's a very good reason why relievers are so volatile. There's no routine. It's just up and down, up and down, max effort on every pitch until you break then they bring in the next guy.
It makes no sense sitting him on the bench with two absolutely useless worthless players in LF and RF. As dumb as Grifol is even he has to know his days are numbered. Those two bums aren't going to save his job.
