7/8 Sox vs Twins, time for Flexual Healing
Harold's Leg Lift replied to Heads22's topic in 2024 Season in Review
Maldonado is heating up. -
If they draft Cags I think they're drafting an OF and I think they think that too.
-
If he gets by the first two they can get him down from there.
-
I think they get Cags.
-
He got his spike caught and balked for the 2nd time in a week. The fucking idiots are just being fucking idiots.
-
Kopech has to change his spikes. This can't keep happening.
-
Hold on to your butts.
-
It's about time the Marlins start kicking it around. They've been playing some unbelievable defense.
-
Burger wearing his cement shoes. So glad that guy is gone.
-
Yep. A lot better than we could have said a year ago. Maldonado has helped him a lot.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Harold's Leg Lift replied to Lip Man 1's topic in Trade Winds 2024
I don't think it will take some incredible "haul" to trade for Robert. They're very motivated to move him before he gets hurt again. -
God damn right.
-
It was a crime to put Crochet in the bullpen. Idiots
-
He was a starter in college and a pretty good one but he has a couple things to work on to become a big league starting pitcher. He needs to repeat his delivery better and develop a consistent third pitch (change). The problem is his bat will be ready way before his arm so if he's going to continue to pitch it will have to be as a reliever which is fine because his plus fastball/slider will get big league hitters out in short stints.
-
I don't know. He's gonna be one of the most interesting guys to see who takes him and where. There are quetions about his fastball. He sits 95-98 but it gets hit. He should be able to consistently throw it past HS hitters but he doesn't. It's straight w/zero deception. On the other hand his secondaries are hellacious. It's probably the best combo of slider and change I've ever seen. I'm very interested to see who thinks they can fix his fastball shape without fucking up his secondaries.
-
No doubt. I think Cags is the only guy they go full freight on. Anyone else they would be looking to cut a deal.
-
Not neccessarily. The 2nd round slots are $2.2M and $1.2M. They can easily sign a couple really good HS arms with that kind of money.
-
I think it fits well where they are as an organization. The vast majority of their top pitchers are in the upper minors so it will be good to get some HS arms to start filling up the lower minors. I don't know how many but I think they're gonna use at least a few of their top picks (2-7) on pitching and likely HS pitching.
-
He throws plenty hard but I don't think the Sox are gonna take a pitcher. I hope they take Cags but if not they're gonna get a good player at 1-5.
-
They took pitchers the last two years (though the Hughes pick looks awful) so you can definitely see them keeping that trend going. Personally I would take Smith over Burns but either one would be benificial for the Sox.
