Sox @ Boston, 6:10
Luck shines on a crappy manager every now and then.

Alonso, the stud of all studs.

Sox @ Boston, 6:10
Not the brightest manager ever.

Sox @ Boston, 6:10
The last hot take I read here was that Jeff Keppinger was a good signing. ?

Sox @ Boston, 6:10
The hot streak is over. Will be interesting to see how he does going forward.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I’d trade Colome for Carlson as well. Carlson looks like he’s hitting for more power this year and his walk/strikeout rate is improving. He’s only 20, a switch hitter, and is currently hitting well at AA. It doesn’t hurt that he has been developed in the Cardinals organization either. He is likely around the same ETA as Robert and Madrigal. I’d love to add him for RF. His prospect ranking is probably due to rise a bit from #88 but maybe he would be a realistic target for 1.5 years of Colome.

We need Ozzie right now more than ever
We just need a better manager in general. I don’t really care if he is a “red ass.”

Not as high as they should be.

The $$$$ will be spent!
28 year old Puig has had more good seasons in the majors than this 32 year old Japanese OF. I can reference real MLB stats for Puig. What can you show me in support of the 32 year old Japanese OF?

RF options are bleak...any other ideas?
Jay isn’t the answer to any question. ?
-
The $$$$ will be spent!
Why? I am the most pessimistic of all about the Sox signing a top tier free agent but you don’t think even one of Ozuna, Castellanos, or Puig is a realistic signing for the Sox?

Jon Jay reinstated
It’s spelled “Jon.” And this is bittersweet. He should improve this team but the idea of giving Jay’s at bats at this point is a bit annoying. Especially considering his buddy was supposed to be playing with him. By the way, the comments by some posters here regarding Machado’s demise were apparently a bit hasty. Machado is now hitting: .278 / .354 / .493 / .847 16 HR 47 RBI

McCann finalist for catcher for ASG
Calling a difference of 88 points in OPS being “a little bit better offensively” is also a bit of an understatement.
-

I meant for this year. I believe his OPS on the season was below .800 with only 9 HR before his offensive onslaught against awful White Sox pitching.

McCann finalist for catcher for ASG
Sanchez should start. McCann should be the backup.

The $$$$ will be spent!
The last guy I want to sign is a 32 year old Japanese outfielder whose power won’t translate to the MLB. Hard pass. Let someone else waste money on him.
-
The $$$$ will be spent!
I’d rather target a second pitcher younger than Hamels but yes.

The $$$$ will be spent!
Yes, yes, and yes. A couple more that you could arguably include would be Bumgarner and Ozuna.

6/23- Sox at Rangers, 2:05, WGN
He looked okay. He threw mostly breaking stuff.

Keep Hahn for making prospect trades. But hire a monkey to throw darts at a dart board of free agent targets.

He was bad. He could barely throw over 90. He was sitting at 90-91 on his fastball.

He had one of the lowest salaries of the bums Hahn acquired this offseason so he was the easiest to cut loose.

GermanSoxFan, another great Hahn signing — Herrera. ?

Hahn paid Keppinger $12 million for one year, and it was a terrible season. You fail at logic and reason.

Props to Hahn for Colome and McCann. Everyone else he acquired last offseason has been about as bad as imaginable.
