Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
He had surgery on his left wrist to have a cyst removed at the end of September. He was not expected to miss any time in Spring Training or the regular season. https://mobile.twitter.com/ChrisCotillo/status/1175791346243837952 “The southpaw has been dealing with a triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) cyst in his left wrist, and he is still struggling to throw breaking balls without pain.“

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
Interest by the White Sox, or teams in general?

Cole to the Yankees: 9 years, $324 million.
I know you have been pushing this for awhile and I absolutely love the idea because it’s the best way to dramatically improve the lineup but the Sox don’t work this way. Moncada looked good at 3B, a RF would be way cheaper to acquire, and there are many available.

There’s $50 million in incentive-based money. The grand total of the contract will beat out all other offers if all incentives are hit.

Keuchel, I would assume... maybe Castellanos. I would be surprised if anything comes out of it.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
If Rick pulls off a trade for Price + Benintendi without giving up much talent, I will bow down to Lord Hahn.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
Tell me when they sign someone. This idea that being the highest bidder is somehow a win for the franchise is a joke. Read my signature from last summer. Those are your own words... ”Misses are no longer acceptable.”

Cole to the Yankees: 9 years, $324 million.
Yes, it did. The White Sox were involved, and they didn’t want to pay market value in guaranteed money, instead opting to offer incentive-based money... $50 million guaranteed short.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
So how many more times will we hear this offseason that the Sox missed out on their target after offering the most money?
-
Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
He obviously didn’t, considering he chose the Rangers.

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
Yeah, everyone wants to play for the White Sox...

You don’t get participation trophies for failing to sign your targets.

Cole to the Yankees: 9 years, $324 million.
Agreed. Porcello would be fine as the second SP acquisition. But if he’s our best SP acquisition this offseason, Hahn will have to avoid showing up to SoxFest.

Cole to the Yankees: 9 years, $324 million.
Yup. If you can’t beat out the Padres or Phillies for your main targets, you damn sure aren’t going to beat out the Yankees or Angels.

Here comes our right fielder. Mazara on the block again. https://mobile.twitter.com/Sullivan_Ranger/status/1204462918357544961

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
If the Sox have had the highest bid for two players, why don’t these guys want to play here?

Cole to the Yankees: 9 years, $324 million.
Every year there is a mystery team, according to Heyman. I’m convinced that Boras flips Heyman some cash to say this about every big free agent every offseason.

This is all news that has been out there already. He is just putting it all together.
