How embarrassing is it that Chase Daniel looks better than our 1st round QB pick? Pace needs a do-over on the first round of the 2017 draft.

Ricky should be gone. He’s terrible. Capra has to be the worst third base coach in baseball. I don’t really see what Steverson has done well to keep his job as long as he has. Cooper is only gone if he chooses to leave or retire.

Hahn needs to override Ricky by letting Yolmer go. Mendick is capable enough to replace Yolmer, which would allow us to sign a reliever for $5 million. And Yolbert is probably coming soon anyways.

Ricky doesn’t get the choice if Grandal is signed and he could still make it work. Two really good catchers (Grandal / McCann), Abreu primarily at 1B, and Collins at primarily DH. Use DH as the “rest” day for each of the four players. If one of the catchers DH’s, Collins can catch. If Abreu DH’s, Collins or Grandal can play 1B with McCann at catcher. Tons of lineup flexibility with 3 catchers on the roster and with both Collins and Grandal having 1B experience. Acquire a RF and our lineup is done. Spend 3/4 years and $60-$70 million on Grandal and I’d be fine going cheaper in RF for a 1-2 year stop-gap (Mazara, Dickerson, etc.) to save the rest of their money on pitching.

You can still do it with Abreu back. McCann can move to backup catcher.

Best idea is signing Grandal. Grandal / McCann / Collins alternating C / DH / 1B. I love this idea. Also, sign a RF and just focus on acquiring pitching.

Collins eye is so good. He does not swing at balls. Hopefully he is able to catch up with good fastballs.

They were already losing but Theo immediately went for the tank once they were eliminated. Shut down almost all of their starters and they are playing the bench. Theo at least knows when to intentionally lose for the draft pick. And how about Quintana tonight? Cubs fans must be hating Theo for that trade right now as Q is currently sporting a 4.68 ERA. ?

I understand there’s a difference between the White Sox, Red Sox, Cubs, and A’s payrolls but there is also a difference between winning one flukey WS and winning three with two different teams. Also, have you ever heard of memories? That’s why one or multiple WS are nice.

Eh, the Dodgers write blank checks and when’s that last time they won a World Series? The guy has won three rings with two different teams.

Just a heads up — Theo Epstein will be on The Score with McNeil and Parkins tomorrow at 2 PM. Nice timing right after they are officially eliminated from the postseason. Theo never gives up too much information but it should be a funny listen anyways.
