I think it was a situation that they felt...surely he will start hitting soon. Now he has become Dunn like. I would sit him for a few days using him for occasional pitch hitting duty. When you want to free up the roster spot is when you release him. I agree that he is lost money at this point. Maybe we should try and trade him to the Padres. They might pay us to keep their star happy.

To be fair...I don't think any of us saw Alonso stinking up the place to this level.

No reason to trade Colome unless a starting pitcher or right fielder is involved.

We need 2 competent starters and a reliable right fielder. If we had that right now we would be contending for the Central.

Bring up Cease, Robert, Madrigal and Collins. I'll bet fans would find that very entertaining.

Herrera must have had some injury...he was his old self.

In a year or two the Sox will be a hot ticket.

While our current starters leave something to be desired other than Gio...the bullpen pieces of Marshall, Bummer, Herrera & Colome look very, very good. Dare I say... exceptional.

That reminds me of the trades we thought up as kids. I give you all my crapola and you give me your star.
