An ominous future...
They have been unwatchable since 2021, when Tony LaRussa was brought back to manage our team. I am regaining some optimism, but Jerry needs to turn over the managing partner title to Ishiba sooner rather than later.

I hope you keep the honor for a long...long time.

Official 2026 win prediction thread.
I am as unhappy with this start as anyone, but we should be 1-2 after starting on the road against a good team. We need to take a step back from the edge and take a fresh look after 20 games or so. The first two games didn't bother me, but this one did hurt.

I wanted to go 83-86, but 81 is my target win total.

MLB.TV vs ?
Do you use it on an actual TV? I put the games on TV using ROKU.

MLB.TV vs ?
Thanks to all who responded. I set up a VPN and now sit back and wait for MLB.TV to broadcast 2026.

MLB.TV vs ?
Thanks for your response. A few more questions, please. What makes using a streaming device, such as ROKU, for TV different than a computer? If you were making the decision today...which VPN would you use (I see that Windscribe is still available? Would you recommend closing my existing MLB.TV account and then opening a new account using the VPN filter? What claimed State has no blackouts. Am I correct to assume Indiana and Iowa are blacking out someone? Thanks again for your help. I am not very fluent in the workarounds of these systems.

MLB.TV vs ?
I live in Michigan and cut the cord years ago. Have been using MLV.TV for many years. Now there are some new things to consider, apparently. Does anyone have an opinion on what might be the best way to get the most WS baseball for the buck? Currently, I am blacked out of Detroit games and a few "special" games.

Patience...I think it's coming. Spring training highlights the needs for most teams.

OD 26 Man Roster Projection
We have already seen (Murakami) that the WS have a few surprises up their sleeve. It's more fun to expect the unexpected than to give up before the season starts. There will be time enough to B***h and complain if and when things turn bad.

Different opinions are why they make both chocolate and vanilla.

OD 26 Man Roster Projection
I know I'm in the minority...but I'd like to think we're going to be competitive. That opening day 26 isn't all that easy to trim anymore. Our division is winnable with a tweak here and there. For sure, we should be entertaining.

It also improves our bullpen.

White Sox sign RHP Seranthony Domínguez, 2/20M
Elson was the voice of the White Sox from 1926 to 1942 and again from 1946 to 1970. That was broken up with WWII when he served in the Navy. It was during that tour of duty that he earned the nickname "ol' Commander." In case you are wondering...I only started listening during his 2nd tour with the WS, around 1955 or so.

We were easily fooled.

White Sox sign RHP Seranthony Domínguez, 2/20M
I'm ambiviolent to Schriffen, but I was sick and tired of Benetti's foolishness. Bob Elson was more my speed.🙂

I'm past worrying about flip candidates. Build a team that is fun to watch and maybe start winning some games. Perhaps even a division title. Yeah, we can always make the trades when they make sense, but they aren't why we should acquire players. That takes away playing time for the young guns.

I like Getz a lot. My remark was meant to say that Getz knows nothing positive comes with sharing with the press or fans. Example: We would love to find a way to acquire Hays isn't going to work to our advantage. However, we are having talks with both FA's and possible trade partners for outfield help, which keeps fans happy. In general, the GMs all play the same game.

I doubt Getz shares all his thoughts with the public.

The Benintendi money could be used to upgrade the starter pitcher we are bound to acquire. The division is within reach with just a little more effort.

It's the same old, is the glass half empty or half full puzzle. I'm just suggesting it's more fun to buy into the idea that the glass is filling quickly.
