He did have a quality start. Six complete innings with three or less runs.

The now even looks interesting.

Yes! Vlad Jr. is a scary dude. I was surprised RR pitched to him in that situation with man on 2nd and 1 out.

Cal Ripken and Lou Gehrig played every game forever. Why in the world do these young men need time off on such a constant basis? If a day game follows a night game the whole lineup needs to look like there was a flu epidemic. I understand that the demands of a catcher require about 40 games off but even 10 games off for other positions is overkill. How would they ever make it in the real world?

Never say never.

Good game to watch. Lots of little things going on that lead to nice win. The guys no one talks about are who won this game.

Ricky showed us that practice makes perfect.

He still can bunt...some guys just can't. Cordell seems to be a fundamentally sound player. He might not be what is meant by 5 tool player but all his tools work.

Only two games out. Wouldn't take much to get in the hunt.

It worked....I like it. Cordell can bunt...I like it. If a guy can't bunt...I don't like it. It has more advantages when you have their backs to the wall like the situation tonight.

This was a win in a game most felt was looking pretty doubtful. Two games under .500. This game was won by the second tier guys. Great game!

Gotta give him credit when it works...we certainly ride his butt when it doesn't.

This would be a great win for having our poorest battery and a far cry from our best lineup.

Automated umping can't come soon enough. This home plate ump is terrible in all aspects.

Greg has lots of company.

Love those bunts when executed properly.

Tilson is a stud...he and McCann are great finds.

Terrible ump! Third pitch to Nicky was a joke.

Nicky looks kind of hitterish tonight.

Few more weeks and he might be doing it for the big club.

Marshall is going to be a very useful addition. I like!

Good job Covey! We couldn't have asked for more.

Ricky....that was a very hard hit foul ball. Pay attention.

You've already gotten well over expectations so don't get greedy. One more inning would be nice but very careful with this guy.

Time to keep the leash nice and tight on Covey.
