AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Sounds like a plan.

Sox have had preliminary EXT talks with Dylan Cease, nothing imminent.
Some guys like Eloy are good bets before they play a major league game - while I'm glad we waited to see on Moncada. Cease and Madrigal perhaps Robert might fall into the Eloy grouping. I'm with you on the wait and see on Gio & Lopez. Sox management has been good on this point. Sale, Q, Engle & Anderson were all plus deals long term. Only Danks was a poor idea. Pretty good odds.

JUST IMAGINE
My point was the guys are scoring a good number of runs without much contribution from five REGULAR players on the current roster. Most fans would have expected those five players to contribute more than they have. I am well aware that at least 4 of them won't be on the AS team.

JUST IMAGINE
They will be better than this is my only point.

JUST IMAGINE
Sanchez currently at .048 and Engel at .143...they will improve on those BA's. Don't need to be a troll. Just fact.

JUST IMAGINE
How many daily runs will the guys score once Jimenez, Rondon, Palka, Sanchez & Engle come to the party.

It finally happened
Very cool !!!! Well done.

Extensions are the way to go. The sooner these guys sign up for these...the sooner we will see them in Chicago. Player, agents and management all know the situation. When management is sold on a player being ready they should get it done.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
3 & 3 sure feels a lot better than 2 & 4. Great game to win.

MADRIGAL MAGIC
Fox was a 12 time All Star, 1959 MVP, 3 time Gold Glove and Hall of Fame member. He only hit one or two homers per year. Lots of ways to be of value.

ALONSO LINEUP EFFECT
The man knows how to work a walk. Has a very professional approach.

MADRIGAL MAGIC
If we could all agree on which player excites us the most we would all have matching jerseys.

MADRIGAL MAGIC
I can't remember being this anxious for a future player. This comment is not aimed at Yomer. He will be just fine after he gets the rust off. Madrigal has the qualities of Nellie Fox of bat control and GG defense that makes things happen. I am expecting him to be my favorite player for the next decade. The skills that Madrigal has don't take many days off. Slumps are very rare. I am keen on Robert, Cease, Kopech, Adolfo, Rutherford etc.. My money is on Madrigal being considered our MVP in a few years. Homers are sexy but consistency like Madrigal shows is rare.

ALONSO LINEUP EFFECT
Robert is a sure thing. Between Adolfo, Basabe & Rutherford I like our chances. I was very happy to see improvement in Rutherford.

ALONSO LINEUP EFFECT
Palka has caught the ball better than I was expecting. Doesn't have much arm. If he was hitting like last year I would be satisfied until reinforcements arrive.

ALONSO LINEUP EFFECT
Alonso has been a pleasant surprise for me. Our line-up looks far more hit-er-ish ( my word) since he replaced Davidson types we have used. Hard to explain since he is hitting for little or no BA. He takes walks and every hit seems to be a rope. He passes the eye test. His defense is also a nice plus over previous Abreau backups. Type of veterans to have as we wait for the next wave.

Moncada
Extensions are here to stay. Really hard for a mid-payroll team to pay for top end free agents. Tie up that kind of money and years on one player instead of extending your control of Kopech, Cease, Robert, Madrigal, Moncada and others makes no sense to me. The Sale, Q, Eaton deals all worked out well. Only Danks extension was a bomb. I would love for the Sox to follow this path in the future. As a matter of fact--guys like C. Rondon should probably be moved a couple years from end of contract if they are not interested in extensions. Just my opinion.

GameThread: White Sox (Nova) @ Indians (Clevinger)
For awhile I would like to see: Palka platooned with Cordell Rondon start at second Covey used in long relief only Jones used for 6th or 7th before any base runners are on Colome & Herrera used to cover 8th & 9th when important game is on the line

3/28 GT - Sox @ Royals (3:15pm CST)
Not one of his better games. Although I think he's an all around solid player everyone knows he would be better suited for infield backup. Would really like Rondon to get a chance. He looked pretty clutch in Spring.

Thoughts on the Sox shifting Moncada to 3b?
Love the move. He's looked great this Spring. When Madrigal comes up our infield will make us all proud. Guys like him just make things happen.
