Moncada looking good!

Has some hit tool, power, arm, speed & catch the ball. Not elite in anything but all around a good player.

Stolen base from Cordell. He's a breath of fresh air.

He certainly has looked like a serviceable major league outfielder. That right field spot is still open for anyone who wants it. Maybe we've found him.

No reason for Abreu to bat third...that's for sure.

Joe West should be made to explain how tossing your bat back toward the dugout is worthy of the same penalty as throwing a ball at someone. He was over the top with this call. For years he has acted like people came to the park to see him.

Cordell does everything better than Palka except hit homers and so far he leads in that category also.

He disrespected me so I threw a 90 Mph baseball at him. Dumb!

I like Jason & Stone but please talk baseball and leave the comedy routines to the professionals.

Jose making outs instead of walks has been a real problem. Zero for 15 AB's for our top 3 hitters is terrible. Cordell with more production in 1 game then Palka in 17 was very nice.

Is there any word on Moncada?

I hope we show the same 17 games worth of patience for Cordell we gave to Palka. He has some good tools and might be a diamond in the rough.

Now only 4 players below Mendoza. Improvement by subtraction.

Giolito looked to be in total control. This was not our lucky day.

It's a bit to early for our name prospects to be called up. Great time to find out about Cordell or Tilson.

What a crap call by Joe West to toss Timmy. We should start our worst pitcher in the first inning and plunk the best hitter on the other team. We lose our lousy pitcher and they lose their best hitter. Dumb!!!

This game hurt !

We have 5 players hitting below the Mendoza Line. Abreu, Palka, Castillo, Engle and Sanchez are all hitting below .200 and frequently if not always in the starting lineup. Makes me kind of optimistic that we have a 7- 9 record with over half the lineup in a slump. Moncada & Anderson are doing some very heavy lifting while Jimenez and Garcia are contributing. I believe the 5 players mentioned will improve more than Moncada & Anderson will regress. Good times ahead.

Working reasonably fast and throwing strikes is a great recipe for success.

I agree. He also speaks Spanish which is a big plus.
