Climax is a township, Calhoun County and you get to Climax on I94. Hell is Shiawassee County I think and they do a good business all year and especially Halloween. We also have a Christmas which I think is in the UP but I could be wrong on that. We also have Nirvanna (a bit north and west of me). We have the Tittabawassee River (in the thumb). There are others but I can't think right now.

what the hell are you driving I75 for? vacationing or family? or just for the sign? Big Beaver Road is a remnant of the fur trapping days in this state and how it got to be exit 69, who knows, but it works!
-
exactly! and we lost 2 in a row on the road playing with rules we are not familiar with - not a time to be embarrasssed, put on our Smiths albums, get depressed and slash our wrists
-
hadn't thought about that - that staggers the mind - at least my mind - and I am easily staggered -
-
sending good thoughts your way!!!!!!!

are we talking about who a new reliever will be to take the roster space or who the new closer will be to take the vacated role?
-
I suppose the time that we actually get to sing that to him is in the World Series!
-
as fiction if referring to current times

you have a great poster name - happy birthday bud!

I was speaking about "my community." Indeed, no plant closed in this community during the Clinton years, which is what I presume you mean by "1992-2000." The actual Clinton years were 1993-2001.

since this is a grammar and spelling thread, that would be "and he is wrong too !" -
check your police reports from the Bulls 6 championships - I have been in Chicago for several of those and usually at least a couple people shot each time and recheck your stats on detroit beginning with championships in the last 20 years, 1 Tigers, 3 Red Wings, 3 Pistons, 1+3+3>4 and that reaction has been very mild outside of the 84 Tigers - OSU and MSU have good reps for rioting after games, maybe go after them?

you are wrong. It is less than nothing. The manufacturing jobs have gone and have been replaced with minimum wage or just above jobs with no health insuance. So IF they reach the number of jobs that they lost, the average worker is in a far worse situation financially. In our community we are losing Electrolux (2700 workers), a plant that has been here for over 100 years, outsourced to Mexico. Our town has 8,000 citizens so do the math what this does to us and the surrounding community. Federal Mogul is shutting its plant, 540 jobs outsourced to Mexico. We are getting a WalMart. 1600 jobs, all part time, pay being 1/4 or less of what our Electrolux and Federal Mogul employees were paid. This is Bush economics. God better bless America because Bush is f***ing the place royal. Reading that radical hippy leftist magazine Business Week today - the Bush administration has seriously undercounted the number of jobs moved off shore, in the hundred of thousands to millions. That is in Business Week, an April edition. But believing this administration: - nulcear fuel rods in Africa - weapons of mass destruction in Iraq - Iraq involved in al qaeda and September 11 - terrorism reached a new low --- [no, oops, terrorism reached a new high] - the vice president's office knew nothing about the deal to haliburton - we will get osama dead or alive - the PDB that says that al qaeda plans to attack the US with planes, mentioning New York and DC, was not "actionable" intelligence - we will be out of Iraq in a few months - mission accomplised - the cost of the Iraq war is $87 billion - no it is $125 billion more - no it is more but we will tell you after the election - the federal deficit will 300 trillion - no, maybe 425 trillon, no more like 500 trillion - Clinton lied about a blow job not a thing they say is worth the effort to mouth the words

score and inning anyone?

Exactly! The Bulls 6, and the Pistons 2. Pistons and Bulls can be rivals supreme but when it is us versus others, we got to represent the midwest big cities against the coasts!
-
one of those things that is a much bigger deal before you get it done than afterwards when you say, hey that wasn't so bad! W&O is saying a lot of wise things so I will defer to him for further comments. We will all send good thoughts your way Friday afternoon though. To Steff on Friday!
-
It is smart to do it Friday afternoon - longer weekend! It was not a big deal when I had it done and it discovered a few things that I had not known I was allergic to, which has made life easier since then. W&O is right, it is not hours, and it really is no big deal. I recall a little scratching and pin pricks but that was nothing. Good luck!

Yo, not so fast! The Pistons: 1. gave pride back to the Eastern Conferance which had no chance against the West according to the experts and who can name fast the last Eastern Conferance team to win an NBA title? 2. kicked the s*** of the high paid All Star Dream Team and showed what teamwork is, what hard work is, what defense is, and what Old School basketball is and that it still wins. 3. shut the f*** up the LA folks. 4. brought the Afro back and showed the City of Rappers and Motown can still and always kick the s*** of Tinseltown as we have done before (yes, when it is basketball and hockey, I am a "we" with Detroit) Love us for a few more days - and then we can resume the normal rivalries! And #1 always: Go You White Sox!
-
Piston fans are a fun bunch! I am looking forward to all kinds of merchandise coming out now - and it will not include any memories of the "riots" and Detroit "burned down" that some predicted would happen
