damn shame he won't get the win tonight - but damn good the Sox will get the win -
-
and Frank has a home run, a double, a single tonight - and I picked CLee (with 2 hits) for my PTC because I was warned we couldn't pick the same player game after game - I am happy to be wrong on PTC in these circumstances!
-
I've been on it for a month at least

once he saw your picture, did you expect anything else?

I'm sure one would be used in the war. Not sure if it would be by the US or from the North Koreans. Either way it would be a disaster. diaster = understatement of the year the whole point of diplomacy is to avoid nuclear war - let alone the world wide catesptophic medical and environmental and genetic consequences, you'd have 100,000-500,000 Korean dead if it were confined toi that peninsula and didn't spead to Japan - and if no other nations got drawn in - the immorality, if I may use that word, of the thought of waging nuclear war astounds me. Even I have faith that Bush and his administration take very seriously the real threat of nuclear catastrophe and will be able to work out a solution that leaves the nuclear horror contained. The next nation that lobs a nuclear weapon will set off a chain reaction amongst other nations that easily will kill millions if not right away, in the aftermath and devatstae the earth - and life. One might as well play Russian roulette with a fully loaded gun than to advocate or approve of nuclear holocaust - at least in russian roulette you only kill your self.

Our new members should be told that tey should all email bjmarte and ask him to send to them his famous naked portrait - but have him email it, I don't know that I can take it being posted again! Where the hell have you been BJ? You have been missed.
-
are you serious? nuclear war? God spare us.

I'd love to see Dio again but hell, I am spending the following weekend taking in the 1st place WS sweep of the 1st place Mariners and that is enough $ spent in one week - and that Detroit to Chicago trip is rather long, doing it already in July going from seeing Em to the all star game - I had to f***ing take a pass on my opera season tickets today because the cost of the All Star Game and the Overnight kind of maxed out my entertainment budget for the year - well, I can get the opera season tics back for the 2004-05 season -

very true - very true - I got a free ticket to a Doobies concert a few years ago and I was the youngest person in the place and it certainly was the AARP crowd! And it was like a museum show - every note recreated just as it was years, nothing new at all musically - the only concert I know I am seeing this summer is 50¢ and Missy Elliott and young Marshall Mathers -- but that is just me, the rap head. Iam pretty much the oldest dude at these shows (last year Ludicris, Papa Roach, Xzibit, and of course, Marshall Mathers) but the feeling is much more alive than the oldies things. And now I have opened the door to those who want to bash rap - f*** them. My musical tastes are very wide, and I embrace it all. Narrow minded people exist in every generation.

God bless you for a wise post.

I saw Dio in concert - great show - it was also 18 years ago - was a hell of a show - I'm a bit surprised he is still touring. I did a funeral sermon once using Last in Line and We Rock as part of the text - wonder if Ronnie James ever figured he'd get quoted that way - I still get choked up when I hear those songs remembering my friend
-
I'll have 50¢ and Ja Rule both shoot at him rather than each other...
-
by the way, totally worthless fact - that was the first game that RD and RDW got to see RB pitch in the majors on tv - and when RB failed to throw the ball at the top of he 4th, and came out, not only was there general mystery in the stands at what the f*** was happening, but all I could do was picture RD going crazy at home - and RDW had her cell phone off! Couldn't reach her. Those 3 innings were among the best pitched that I ever saw.

Molto, thank you, that is the type of the analysis that I really need. I disagree on dumping Frank - but other than that (and maybe I like CLee a tad bit more than you do) I really want to say thank you and hoiw much I agree with the rest of what you posted. Your idea of rotating the DH is one that goes back 30 years when it first came in and then was abandoned - I haven't thought about that concept in 29 years now. It may well be tme to resurrect it - you may really be on to something there. Could almost give us one more position player and allow a better way of rotating days off by keeping players in the game.
-
actually 6 Ks in 3 innings and that is the game that I remember when I think of RB pitching really damn good. I also was impressed he took himself out at the top of the 4th before he threw a pitch - since D Wells failed to take himself out the night before when he couldn't pitch, couldn't field, and almost killed us... was glad RB knew enough not to kill the team by being the incompetent macho man that D Wells was

can you post the address of your place of employment? I have a ton of change that needs to be counted...
-
well now right there I am lost - I may regret asking this, but why would anyone create phony names that they never intended to use?
-
who else could play SS? I agree that D Lo at ss is not the world's best idea.
-
then could you provide a scorecard of whose name was what when, where, and why? I have lost track of that too. People seem to have more names than Erica Kane has had husbands on All My Children!
-
I could not see him doing it here either. When he was on he was on, but it was never often enough. And he was so fragile. I wish him all the luck in Montreal - although I am not as fond of him as a person as some are.
-
I am glad to know that someone feels about him the way I do. We are both lucky baggio's computer is out of commsision because otherwise he'd be lecturing us! Jose is not the ss of our future and I'd just as soon play the future than the past for all the little that Jose is giving us.
-
that is my observation, from watching him play
-
I will agree to that all the way. Our team has its individual and collective heads somewhere, anywhere, but in the game.
