Jiminex had a timely home run on the home Sunday game with Detriot to give us the lead - but you are right we as a team have sucked at the timely hit, those 14 left on abse on the at Detroit Saturday game was a crime abd we left a ton on the next day too. Jiminez pleases me very much with his defensive play and I think he can do it offensively. But if he is causing trouble in the clubhouse that could account for some - some - of the lack of team cohesiveness. Just thinking at loud at this point. I would love to be wrong in my hunch that this guy has an ego problem and rubs his team mates the wrong way. We've heard it from other sources as well. Also see him as a very good player developing. A happy medium has to be found before this reaches Clayton-esque proportions.

Sitting with HSC or Sage or reading Meg3s posts on the MLB board is proof of that. But guys tend to be focused (blinded) on ability while women tend to notice as well the character of the person. that argument doesn't work here - it was a 4 run game at that point and thus still in doubt - what inning, 5th? CLee's slam made the difference, so he hit it when they needed it. This wasn't a sam-me homer in the 9th in a 13-1 loss, this was the blow that put the game out of reach and broke KC's back. And it pleases me to imagine that this will be the start of his getting hot this seasonn. I prefer that to imaging that he will never hit again. And damn it, CLee has won some very important games for us with his bat. 6 grand slams, the fastest any Sox player has ever done that. He has sucked so far at the plate this season; let's hope today opened the floodgates rather than dump on him.

bond is supposed to reflect the flight risk, it is a guarentee to show up. If the accused murderer has family (spouse) and/or good job or whatever and is not a flight risk, then bond would be lower. A single guy who probably cannot be expeditied from another state is a higher risk. The folks will talk to a bailbond person and get a 2nd mortgage on the house unless they already have one and in that case the kid sits in jail... too bad. The lawyer is just doing his job. If our office represented him we'd be doing the same.

Bail wasn't high enough. Mom and Dad will slap a lien on their house to post the 10% recognisance on that one. He should sit in jail another couple of days beforfe he can raise bail - but I suppose if it were set too high it would be appealable in that it was a high profile case instead of being judged on the merits. f***. The legislature should take the time to raise the penalty a bit, They can make a one year feolony out of being on the field. As Baggio pointed out yesterday, the potential for a Monica Seles incident is too great. They did find a knife on the field after the Ligues last year. Going on the field should be a chargable felony.

No I knew the numbers pretty much but if I hadn't posted them people would doubt what I was saying. Once more I am not slagging Loaiza and I really like him, just putting out something he has struggled with in the past, so we can all be even more impressed when he overcomes it this year. Mathew, now the game has been over long enough I can think about what you are saying. Loaiza has looked mighty good so far. A friend in Toronto has the same reservations you have but it is my hope that at this point he knows he has to work to do it for a whole season. I think the performance today to take the KC series with all the possible distractions was a real step up, at least psychologically. And confidence is always a part of the equation.
