Also for the record i've only been here for 3 years so still pretty new and i'm sure the few other ppl here from NC may have more inputNew Belgium (technically out of Colorado but they have a 2nd brewery in Asheville) is my favorite. Actually drinking Voodoo Ranger right now but they also do Fat Tire. Wicked Weed is the other big one. I think there are some other small ones but i'm not too familiar with them. If you are a history/architecture nerd make sure you check out Biltmore. I don't know how much time you have but Great Smoky Mountains (+Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge) is a <2 drive west and Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Boone (awesome college baseball stadium) <2 drive north.
