Andres Nocioni has agreed to a contract to remain with the Bulls, according to general manager John Paxson. The deal is worth approximately $38 million over five years, although George Bass, Nocioni's agent, said he would have no comment until a deal was done. The deal can't be finalized until July 11. Paxson was proactive in re-signing Nocioni, offering him a contract and then seeing who would match it. Memphis showed great interest, but never made him an offer. Paxson is happy with how things proceeded. "We're at the stage where we know our young players have value," Paxson said. "I felt the area we started talking about was a legitimate, fair offer.
