  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 09:20 PM) He was on deck in the 9th last night but Terrero ended the game before he could get to the plate and there was no sense in using him in a blowout today. Yup. Bring him in today with nobody on and he takes a big cut and hurts himself again. Wouldn't be worth it. And I assume he is starting tomorrow afternoon.
  2. Yesterday, they hit 3 solo homers and win, today, we hit 3 solo homers and lose.

    QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 07:47 PM) I think I wanna stand under Rihanna's umbrella... Who or what is Rihanna?
  4. Only watched 7-8-9 innings, but holy crap, how big was that strike zone? Looked like some balls were almost in the batters boxes and being called strikes.
  5. Harold Reynolds has joined mlb.com and will be on every weekday at 1pm central time on their online baseballchannel.tv. He started off with a bang talking about the ESPN firing.
  6. How symbolic was it at the end of Raw that Estrada was way in the background. Poor guy. Give him a stable. Umaga, Carlito, heel Super Crazy?

    QUOTE(Y2HH @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 08:45 AM) How so? Are you seriously asking that? And maybe it's you that doesn't know much about David Chase, or anyone else that likes money in the world. Seriously, I cannot believe you made that statement...it's just so beyond arrogant. Yea...and you're David Chase's best friend, right?! I guarantee Chase likes money...or he wouldn't have kept stretching the show as HBO request he do. How so because Sopranos was meant to be 3 seasons, NOT 6. It was S T R E T C H E D! Why was it stretched? Money. Ratings. Seriously, I know the episodes that CHASE wrote or co-worte have a LOT of good stuff in them, I'm not saying they don't...but don't for a second think it wasn't money driven. Chase never wanted the show to go on this long, neither did a lot of the actors. But...money talks. And BS excuses walk. Not friends with Chase, but I guess you are since you said it is all about money. You must have spoke to him. I'm going off episodes and Chase interviews. I never heard that about it being just 3 seasons. Than call the Season 3 finale about money. This is the end. He was getting paid no matter what. He will get money because of the A&E replays. He is set.
  8. I'm guessing 15 K's for Hamels.

    QUOTE(shipps @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 10:56 PM) Sometimes I am such a hypochondriac I swear I assume the worst with every little twinge that I feel.Is there many others like this?I dont even go to the doctor which makes it even more absurd. I think that is natural. With all the sickness and illness' in the world, mixed with stuff being shoved down our throats on the news about what could cause cancer and everything else. You are not alone.

    QUOTE(Y2HH @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 07:49 AM) This decision was driven by money. Period. How so? You don't know a lot about David Chase than. I think the last episode seperated two groups of fans who watched the show. One group who watched for the stories, characters, and to be made to think, and the other group who watched just to see murders, even if they meant nothing. The show was always more art than entertainment. David Chase created an ending that people will be talking about in TV history. I have a feeling some people would of been happier if it turned out like Bob Newhart and the last scene was Tony waking up in a hotel and it was all a dream.

    QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 10:09 PM) Is Oceans 13 worth seeing? Did anyone see it? Whoops...I should have read before making this post. Was it better than the 2nd one (wasn't much of a fan than the second one). Dad and I seeing it Sunday. I'm sure that was helpful.
  12. OMGZ!!! That is how the Sopranos shoulda ended!!!!

    QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) Mandy Moore
  14. I was actually hoping Jillian got drafted to Raw earlier in the show. I like her "pop princess" gimic. She is also a talented woman wrestler who could contend for the women's title. Maybe she will jump on Wed.
  15. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 09:53 PM) ECW got absolutly shafted tonight. I actually liked that they ditched Lashley. Benoit going there makes for some good matches now and also Snitsky leaving means even less big stiffs. ECW gained with their losses IMO. And they said there is a gonna be more drafting on wwe.com on Wednesday.
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 09:52 PM) Matt hardy disappeared into jobberville after the whole Edge-Lita affair and subsequent failures to get revenge, but recently he has made a nice comeback, Im starting to enjoy watching his matches again. He just had a great run at it with Orton Everyone here knows I have been a fan of Matt Hardy since he went singles. He can go in there, his problem is he isn't big. He gets one of the biggest pops in the WWE. I saw his match with AJ Styles after he was released in 2005. He's underrated.
  17. The rich get richer! Kennedy is RAW!
  18. With ECW getting Benoit and losing Lashley, I may have to start watching ECW more. If they can get one more pick and have it be a legit talent like Shelton Benjamin, that would be sweet. Cena and Lashley on Raw makes me bored thinking about it.
  19. Seattle led Cleveland 7-0....Tribe ties it at 7 in the bottom of the 8th.
  20. I like how mellow I can be after a Sox loss if I don't watch it, except for a few clicking on and offs. 2 scoreless innings by the bullpen? Weeeee.
  21. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 08:48 PM) SmackDown was actually a pretty entertaining show to watch -- moreso than Raw recently -- because they are allowing a heel to have a long run with the belt. This raid on their talent though is really stumping me. What the Hell are they going to do with Khali and Torrie? AGreed. Smackdown has been better for the past few months. I would LOVE to see HBK get drafted to Smackdown, but that won't happen. SD needs to get a big name as does ECW, even though I love the Benoit jump there. I'm expecting one of the Hardy's to get drafted so they can be together and not jump brands every week. P.S. I liked the Benoit/Lashley match, even though Lashley sold the germans like he was a log.
  22. I like that Chase didn't treat the audience like idiots. To kill of Tony would of made the whole series irrelevant. Why do we need something huge to happen at the end? Why can't he just be shown that life goes on?
  23. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 10:17 PM) LOL, what did he say? At first he warned both teams after Lilly hit Renteria, than for no reason, turned around and tossed him a minute later. Lou kept asking why he tossed him and the ump was like, "He threw at him. I know he did." Just way off base.

    QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) I loved it. John from Cincinnati...not so much. (And I actually was kinda psyched to see a surfer show...for some odd reason...) One interesting take I've read is that we should think of it as Tony's death. "You probably don't even hear it when it happens." Hence the cut and the silence. It's a neat thought, anyway. That is a very interesting take on the cut to black. They have said that the last few episodes. I was gonna watch John from Cincinatti but it didn't get good reviews from what I saw.
