QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 09:01 PM) Wasn't counting the TV villains. The TV villains, especially Kilgrave, Kingpin and Ward, have been fantastic. I think Loki is solid. Maybe I'm biased to Marvel though.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 08:45 PM) Who wouldn't rather watch Katy Perry? It's Katy freakin Perry! What about my girl Tay Tay?

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 08:44 PM) Regardless of who Lex is based off of, these previews we're getting of him are making him look like a terrible villain that makes me think of Dominic Greene from Quantum of Solance. Like, worse than Marvel villains, which is a pretty low bar. Obviously reserving judgement for the film itself, but based on this trailer, it looks more and more like this movie is rushing to get everyone in the film. Kilgrave rocks!

Let's redo IronMan and make Tony Start totally different! A depressed drug addict! It'll work!

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 08:07 PM) I'm still baffled at the comment. Sorry if my response isn't coherent. It's ok. I'm baffled by a lot of your comments. I know you're young and I hope you go back and study films and filmmakers before the year 2000. You treat certain directors like they are in the same category as Scorsese, Fincher, Copolla, or even Capra.

A couple of Mary's started complaining about posting in the TV thread. Apparently getting in the way of their black barred Walking Dead posts so here we go. Nany looks like she has been put through the ringer.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 05:00 PM) Eisenberg should have been studying violent dictators and villainous businessmen, not second generation directors and 20 year old internet billionaires This. Adam Driver is playing an original character. He can get inspiration anyway he needs to. Tom Hardy played a character and pretty much portrayed him as he was in the comic. Lex has been written and acted before in a certain way in the past. It's dumb to just reinvent him. It's dumb he's even in this movie probably. It's not even close to being the same thing.

Why would you base Lex Luthor off something that isn't in the comic? And Max Landis? Ok. I liked his Wrestling Isn't Wrestling video but I wouldn't be proud of his writing credits. Chronicle was ok.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 3, 2015 -> 01:14 PM) Fun stuff. Looks like both CT and Zach are going to be a part of this, that'll be fun. I'm happy Cara is back too. Camila 3:16

I don't know anyone from Skeletons or Are You the One. Guess I should research their past.

Cmon. I'm down on DC after the awful MoS and never liked Snyder but at least the first trailer was kind of exciting and looked decent. This trailer was garbage. The usual awful ZS CGI, an annoying Lex Luthor, and gave away the end it seems. Turrible.

Brothers fighting day 1. Awesome. CT in previews. Wtf

Ho hum. Shrug. Stuff happens.

JJ Abrams was on Stern and sort of gave a minor spoiler. Maybe not that big of a deal since the Internet hasn't imploded. I'm not that big of a fan though.

I remember waiting an hour for someone to return Terminator 2 when I was a kid. My dad and I got it and watched behind my moms back.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 2, 2015 -> 11:37 AM) Illinois vs Notre Dame tonight in the newly renovated State Farm Center. They are also honoring Lou Henson tonight. Big night for the Illini. Super pumped, but I got night class Sign the sign in sheet then sneak out.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 2, 2015 -> 12:50 PM) Michigan fans....DJ Durkin will be the next coach at Maryland according to SI's Pete Thamel Defense had a few good games but got torched more than it should for a ranked team. Just hope it doesn't effect recruiting.

CHALLENGE!!!!!

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 11:31 PM) Just finished JJ and absolutely loved it. Step above DD for me. This, although

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 09:23 AM) Not sure if you follow high school sports other than football but the mighty Mount Carmel Caravan elected to be moved down to AA in wrestling in order to avoid the power programs and essentially guarantee themselves a couple of state champs and a team championship. This would be like them moving down to 5A in football. Greg, Brother Rice would have given Loyola a better game than Marist, they would not have beaten them and palatine was probably a better match up. Marist benefited from insanely dumb seeding/home team rules to get their two tougher opponents at home and easier one's on the road. Not certain what he IHSA plan is moving forward but he sate title games except for 7A were a joke. The best 7A game was round two MC and GW. That's what Morgan Park did in basketball.

Terrorism is defined as violence or intimidation in the pursuit of political claims. It's not far fetched to call this terrorism among other things.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 30, 2015 -> 10:07 PM) They were hot for Ambrose and of course he ate the pin. Where the hell was KO tonight? Catering. Dudley segment was the only good thing tonight. Nobody cares about Sheamus. Stupid decision to give the belt to him.

All these female sideline reporters blend together these days. I don't mean to sound sexist but it's all that's out there. Easy to get lost in the shuffle like Rachel Nichols has, even though she does more pieces than sideline stuff.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 30, 2015 -> 09:47 AM) So, as a follow-up, saw Creed and Spotlight this weekend. Already discussed spotlight, but Creed was really good, very fun, very watchable. Its hard to make a bad boxing movie, as a boxing montage is just so automatically great. Its the best montage in movies. But I really liked the small things in this movie. The training dialogue and ringside advice Balboa gives was much more interesting in a tactical/realism sort of way than with a "heart is all you need" kind of way. Agree with this. Didn't just use the Creed name to make a movie. Was deep. Loved the single shot fight.

That penalty on Gronk was awful. Would've iced the game probably. He pretty much got flagged for being bigger than everyone.
