QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 01:28 PM) Underappreciated? Didn't it continually get nominated for golden globes and SAG awards and get pretty good viewership? You could say NBC underappreciated it. A show that won Emmys and been network staple shouldn't have the series final on Jan 31st. Not even on during Feb sweeps. NBC hates their best comedies. Community, Paks N Re.c and it feels like they are trying to kill em.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 10:59 AM) See I think 30 Rock stayed great, but the jokes were more subtle wording at times. You really had to listen to what they said to get alot of them. It was clear Tina ran out of material at the end though. I'm with you. Some people may have gotten tired of the same tone and pace, like i have with Modern Family, but I thought it stayed fresh.

    I'm in on The Americans.
  9. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 03:56 PM) If you werent aware GEICO stands for Government Employee Insurance Company and was started to give insurance to govt employees. Is that why the rates are so low?
  10. Florida offered LJ Peak from Whitney Young. He's good, just a junior, but hasn't been great yet. Definitely has the potential.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 11:35 AM) Oh man, that show is fantastic. Regardless of how accurate or not it is with the period setting (I have no idea, since I wasn't alive then), it's a well-written and acted show. Too bad it was only on for one season. Watched Freaks & Geeks on Netflix streaming. Loved it.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 09:53 AM) I hope Anquon Boldin comes out of the closet Sunday morning and burns Chris Culliver for six TDs. I was unbiased before the game but now I don't want ignorance rewarded. Go Ravens.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 06:10 AM) Absolutely. As a matter of fact, Stephen King wrote an article in EW a while back and talked about listening to books. He agreed that it is "reading" a book. I listen to probably 2 books a month driving to and from work. As far as 11/22/63, I thought it was one of King's best. And I liked the ending. Got it for X-mas. Didn't know it was so big. Having trouble picking it up. Will probably start it on one of my train rides after I am done with the Dream Team.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 05:20 AM) I've watched them all, but All in the Family is still funny to me...and at the time it was ground breaking. I wasn't alive when All In The Family was first running but have always watched the reruns. That show holds up better than any show and is hilarious still.
  16. Anyone have Geico auto insurance? I have State Farm and my rate is too high for no reason. Geico quoted me much lower at same coverage.
  17. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jan 30, 2013 -> 06:48 PM) 5th year transfer from Louisville. I looked him up on the NW site and got cross eyed and thought it said he was a frosh.
  18. This is my first time seeing NW in length. I like Swopshire. Was he touted or come out of nowhere?

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 30, 2013 -> 04:29 PM) To answer the question from the movie thread, I am giving "The Americans" a try. My bad. I'm not really sure what its about and not sure if Keri Russell is a dramatic lead, but gonna try it.
