Damn, Warren killed Stevenson! (Not really but since Rowand doesn't follow his school anymore, I'll just say Warren won and he'll buy it.)

GT: 9/23: Sox vs. Angels
Having a frustrating week with my sports teams and with work, I'll stay away from the thread with my expreme frustration and pessimism so I don't cloud it up and/or ruin it for anyone. Go Sox!

QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:36 PM) These type of posts are pathetic and embarrassing to be honest. Agreed. I'm down on these guys now but we have 7 home games coming up.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:26 PM) Steve Stone all but begging for the Sox to shut down Quintana. What he say? If we somehow make the playoffs, Santiago should get a start over him if it comes to it.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:23 PM) I think 2 runs is too big a deficit for us to over come, the way we've been playing. I'm gonna be a big negative nancy tonight, fair warning You won't be alone. Me included. If I get really bad, ill just leave.

Denard is such an awful passer. They put together a great drive and than call a stupid halfback pass. So bad.

You don't even need to intentionally walk Frenchy. Pitch around him and he's bad enough to get himself out.

White Sox unlikely to pick up Peavy's option
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 12:58 PM) Thats the intel I have. Something more realistic based on his performance with the Sox under the current deal. Laced with performance incentives and bonuses. Sounds good to me.

QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 06:52 AM) Josh Willingham hit HR #35 last night, the first Twin to hit at least 35 since Harmon Killebrew in 1970. amazing. He also has 110 RBI. Steal of the offseason. Can't believe he went to the Twins and no contenders wanted him.

Is Hawk one of the all time greats?
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 19, 2012 -> 04:38 PM) I'll ask you this ... are there any announcing teams you like? Because I can't listen to almost all of them because they are such homers. Homers in terms of never uttering a negative word or close to a negative word about the team that signs their checks. It's fine being a homer, it should be expected when you have a team broadcasting 162 plus games, but you have to maintain some sort of professionalism and unbiasness at times. Hawk doesn't do that. Farmer is so monotonous and dull. Not too mention he talks over DJ all time. I would love to have a new pbp guy on TV but it just won't happen anytime soon, unfortunately. It would be a breath of fresh air to have a professional in there with Stone.
