  1. BA getting tail tonight.
  2. Yeah, Clayton. Gets some more runs, guys.
  3. Young loves first pitch
  4. Nice job, Paulie.
  5. In high school, I once had a streak of striking out in 8 straight ABs. Than one time I went up there and took the first 3 pitches without budging, got a 2-1 count, and hit a gapper. I would never swing away on first pitch in a slump. No way PK can feel comfortable in there.
  6. Holy cow. This is deja vu or something. I swear, after the Bears signed all their guys, I had a dream that the Bulls signed Deng a few nights ago.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) Go figure. 2008 Cubs > 1927 Yankees
  8. Big run out there Thome.
  9. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 07:44 PM) I don't get it. I'm not a huge fan of their rotation for the playoffs. Doesn't scare me. On top of of it, I don't think there bullpen is as good as people think it is. Great team, but not a sure fire bet for the playoffs. Really? Lackey, Santana (at home), Saunders, Weaver, and Garland are pretty solid to me. I still think Lackey is underrated. I mean he is only no hitting Boston right now.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 07:42 PM) Haven't seen this mentioned here...but did you know the Cubs/Brewers series this week is not only for the World Series, but if the Cubs win, it might bring world peace? Good grief, ESPN SportsCenter this morning must have dedicated 10 minutes to the game, and even had Pedro Gomez there to report on the series. It shows how much of a joke ESPN is when they barely recognize our series and Mets/Marlins as anything special.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 07:40 PM) Last time I saw Coomer on TV, he looked extremely heavy. They had him on yesterday. He is big. And adds nothing to the broadcasts as a reporter
  12. Good trade for the Angels. Gave up very little to get Tex. I like Kotchman, but don't see him becoming a super star, but serviceable.
  13. The New York Post believes the Red Sox and Dodgers are still talking about a deal that would send Manny Ramirez to Los Angeles, with the cash to cover his salary, in return for Matt Kemp or Andre Ethier. Boston would likely prefer Kemp, who is both more talented and a better fit for a lineup that would get awfully lefty heavy with Ethier. Of course, it's possible they'd just flip the one they received to the Braves as part of a Mark Teixeira deal. The most likely scenario has nothing getting done at all. For what it's worth, no one in Boston or Los Angeles has suggested there's much going on here. FOXSports.con's Ken Rosenthal believes the Dodgers are focusing on landing a shortstop. 14. My face on the 1 dollar bill.

Everyone who says Entourage or Scrubs is wrong. I used to watch Friends religiously but when I see it on in syndication, I hate it. I like some reality shows like Apprentice, Survivor, and Amazing Race. I even watch Big Brother in the summer cuz nothing else is on except baseball. The reality shows on MTV and VH1 are brutal and dumb down society.
  16. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 03:16 PM) ....and the winner of Titletown USA is: Valdosta, Georgia of course. Ha. That whole campaign was a joke anyway and the result proves it so.

QUOTE (Felix @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 10:00 AM) Everybody Loves Raymond Yes! My parents love this show but I never got it. Maybe cuz I'm not married.

I know we had the list of best TV shows, but how about some of the most overrated. Comedy, drama, whatever. I never got into Home Improvement. It seemed like it was the same jokes every show. Although when nothing else is on and it is on in syndication, I'll watch it. Never liked Murphy Brown either.
  19. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Holy crap. I think I know this guy.
  20. Was it close to going out? My MLB.TV picture was kinda fuzzy. Saw enough of Soriano's hop where he almost mistimed it. Durham should definitely be starting over Weeks.
  21. Walking Fontenot was idiotic.
  22. QUOTE (Shadows @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) I love Maryse even more now, I was lookin at this thing on WWE.com and her favorite song is by my favorite band! That Summer Skin pictorial she did was dynamo. Too bad she is mine. Stick with Kelly Kelly.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 09:47 PM) I still don't understand why the A's just gave up Gaudin. He would have looked lovely on our roster. Especially now. I guess Beane really wanted that minor league catcher.
  24. QUOTE (Shadows @ Jul 28, 2008 -> 08:38 PM) haha, anyone else see they hired Freddy Prinze Jr to be on the creative team for WWE Sarah Michelle Gellar for Divas Champion!
  25. Yikes. TB, Boston, and NY all lost.
