QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) I honestly don't know, and glad I'm not in the position to decide. Campbell obviously should be shopped incredibly hard, but as previously mentioned, a deal being worked out is incredibly unlikely. I'm completely open to moving Kane, but from a hockey and marketing standpoint, it probably doesn't make that much sense. Without Kane, any depth they had a forward is gone, and right or wrong Kane is the face of this franchise, so that probably isn't happening either. While they have a little bit of money to play with, the Hawks still aren't sitting very pretty. They are still going to enter the new season probably counting on too many unknowns, but that's what happens when you have to overpay for talent.... Nice read on some Campbell options. http://committedindians.com/is-brian-campb...the-blackhawks/ -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 07:25 AM) The Bears front office continues to impress. They had agreed to send BAL a 4th round pick to move up 3 spots and even told Carimi they would pick him there. But no one on the Bears side told the NFL in time, so the trade never became official and that's why BAL "passed" on their pick. The Bears lucked out that Carimi was still there, but now the Ravens are pissed and still want some compensation for the trade they agreed on that never happened. Honestly, I think they probably found out last minute that KC wasn't going to take Carimi and that's why they didn't pull the trigger. Ravens got screwed and the Bears blamed it on miscommunication. I don't see how the Ravens are going to get s*** out of this...it sucks what happened and it's bad business, but verbally agreeing on something isn't ironclad. The Bears decided their 4th rd pick was more valuable than their word. -

I guess I'm in the minority here. I think Seabs is a solid d man and the only one we have with any toughness. He can move the puck with one hand while knocking someone on their ass with the other. He had a bad stretch here, but he'll bounce back. The only concern I have are his concussions. Dude has been knocked around silly this year...so if that's the main idea behind moving him...then I think it's a valid concern. -

Also, Toews named a Selke Finalist. I'm sure this will go to Datsyuk, but good for Captain Serious! Datsyuk, Kesler, Toews finalists for Selke Trophy Wednesday, 04.27.2011 / 1:41 PM / News Associated Press NEW YORK (AP) - Detroit center Pavel Datsyuk has a shot at winning a fourth straight Frank Selke Trophy, being nominated Wednesday along with Vancouver's Ryan Kesler and Chicago's Jonathan Toews for the award given to the NHL's best defensive forward. The winner will be announced at the NHL awards banquet June 22 in Las Vegas. Datsyuk, who has captured the award three straight years, ranked 11th in the league with 71 takeaways despite playing in just 56 games this season. He had a plus-11 rating and led the Red Wings with a 54.6 percent faceoff percentage. He would become the first player to win the Selke for four consecutive seasons since the Canadiens' Bob Gainey won it from 1978-'81. Kesler helped the Canucks record the lowest team goals-against average in the NHL (2.20) for the first time in franchise history. He had 80 blocked shots and led the Canucks with a 57.4 faceoff percentage. He also had 124 hits, a team-high 65 takeaways and a plus-24 rating. He finished second in the Selke voting last year and was third in 2009. Toews led all Chicago forwards with a career-high plus-25 rating. He was second in the NHL with 95 takeaways and won 56.7 of his faceoffs. Toews also delivered 74 hits and blocked 28 shots. The Chicago captain is a first-time Selke finalist. Members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association submitted ballots for the Selke Trophy at the end of the regular season. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 02:27 PM) @ESPNChiHawks Jesse Rogers Q: kopy out. Looks like pisani and Kruger in Scott could remain in in which case either pisani or Kruger would stay out I think he serves a purpose in games 1-6, not so sure about a game 7. Everything is on the line here....if the nucks are going to take liberties, they are going to do it with or without Scott in the lineup. I'll be happy to keep him off the ice. He scares the hell out of me with the puck. -

ToKo on the ice for the morning skate. Be nice if he could replace Bickell. -

Thought this "history will be made" was pretty cool. I don't know if I keep missing it, but I haven't seen it during the Hawks broadcasts. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) LOL. There's the bias. Clearly the main point of contact was the head, which looked it looked like Bickell was going for, in the same fashion you say Torres was head hunting. Exact same thing. It was actually almost the same exact hit. Plus, Bickell left his feet. Oops. You can't have it both ways, but I guess you can try. Sorry, I disagree 100% and has nothing to do with bias. We can be talking about these same hits between other teams and I'd feel the same. Almost the exact hit does not = exact hit. The main point of contact was not the head...it was the shoulder. Yes he was trying to drill him and he had his head down, but the brunt of the contact was at the side of his shoulder with incidental contact made to the head on the follow through. Torres was straight to the head. If you can't see it...you're not looking and Bickell left he's feet after initial contact to jump against the boards. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:41 AM) BTW, Controlled Chaos, I assume you will be clamoring for a Bickell suspension today for his hit on Bieksa. The first thing Bickell hit was his shoulder...he didn't try to avoid Bieksa's shoulder and only hit his head. Clearly 2 different hits...not sure why you can't see that. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 11:35 AM) The difference with Canucks fans is its almost always something other than their team. Refs, Bettman, the other team cheating. No other pro team has a statue of a coach complaining to the refs outside of their stadium like the Nucks do. Here's the quote from the Canucks President and General Manager at the statue dedication ceremony “The white towel, waved by Roger, is representative of a united front and a tradition that is unique to Canucks fans." haha...it sure is.
