I don't like having so many pitchers, who we know have high injury risks, locked up in long-term deals. Garcia, Buehrle, Contreras, and Wright all locked up for at least 2 seaons could spell doom for not just one, but 2 years.
Wright figured something out in Portland last season. I think there's a chance that he would be able to continue his dominance even without uber-coach Mazzone behind him. His HR numbers from last season, coupled with the Ted's HR park factor, bode well for a pitcher who's going to have to deal with the launching pad.
I think he'd be a solid pick-up, but one that features plently of question marks... It would be the signing that KW would be hanging his job on.
