Lance finished second today, in the same time as Ivan Basso, on what was the first Mountain top finish of the tour. Thomas Voekler (yellow jersey) lost significant time, and should give it up tomorrow on a hellish stage. With the exception of Basso, every major contender lost time to Lance today... Mayo - lost 1'03" Ulrich - lost 2'30" Hamilton - lost 3'27" Overall Lance is in Second, 5'24" back of Voekler. Basso is the closest Major contender to lance, 1'11" back it's 3'37" back to Ulrich 4'22" back to Hamilton

WTF is Morneau still doing in Rochester? Minkaywhatshisname has been terrible at 1st base. And Jose Awfulman has been equally as bad at DH. All they are doing by leaving him down there is making him Olypic eligible... And what is the point in that? Especially if he's going ot play for Canada. And don't say that the Defense will fall off with Morneau there. Minnesota has been worse than the Sox defensively this season.

And for those people, there will still be 1.2 price mondays... I know BB said it's about the season ticket holders, and it is to a point, but IMO the larger issue was the type of crowd that Tuesday night was attracting. The White Sox are very consciously trying to build thier fan base by starting young, very young. They cater to families and little kids like no other big league club i've seen. It will pay them long term dividends to continue this approach, rather than cow-tow to the rowdies who want to "get their drink on" and cause trouble. I would be upset if they completely eliminated the Half-price nights. and other promotions. (AAA half-price weeknights, Granton Marketing Coupon book, etc..) But there are still going to be budget options to view the sox... The fact is the Tuesday night thing started to work too well...

Yes it is, if for nothing else than this. Under Rob Gallas, his marketing idea reinforced the belief that White Sox Baseball is only worth half the price that's printed on the ticket....

I don't think the Tuesdays have been as bad lately.... It's more of a combination of factors that all come together to make a bad experience. I won't be too upset if they are gone. They're going to get roasted by the Media(mariotti) if they do give them up.
