Will Ben Davis ever get a fair shot?
Gene Honda Civic replied to AngelasDaddy0427's topic in Pale Hose Talk
HE might get shot if he wears a deer costume in the woods in Wisconsin..... He doesn't deserve a shot on this team. -
I hope everett can pitch cuz loaiza sucks.
-
It's not even close... And to think we've been able to steal two victories against him.... He's been flat sick since June 1... 70.2 IP 15ER 30H 16BB 91K .65WHIP 1.91ERA

don't mind shuf -- He's a little bit marinaphobic, but he's harmless.

I don't have his minor league splits from this year, but I know they were something like this.. RH - about 290... 4 HR's LH - about 260... 12HR's

I wonder if that ball had hit off of Shigo's head if it would have made a "gong" sound.

Marion Jones = Lazy Shit

what are these drugs you speak of? -
Francis, Morneau Highlight Preliminary Canadian Roster again, nothing final, but they're on the roster as of now.

You don't have to carry the kids with you, or stop to breast feed them halfway through... -
let's give Freddy a nickname since she can't pitch over the errors.

I was just flipping channels in between commercials in the Sox game, and I saw Marion Jones giving a press conference. It seems as though she was "too tired" to run in the finals of the 200 --- Stupid Yahoo link (will be dead in an hour rolleyeyes.gif ) World Class atlete too f***ing tired to run 200 meters... f***ing Prima Dona... IT's half way around the track you dumb f***... I know 400Lb'ers who could make it around the track. To bad you're "too tired"

So instead of a "servicable 4th outfielder" you'd have a #5 or worse out there??? ----- Here's my problem with the trade...looking at it analytically, it seems to be equatable, trough Win Shares. Garland + Rowand = Johson. Looks like an even trade for both sides. The problem is that as we had no net gain in Win Shares, it's not likely for us to pick up any wins in the long run of this season. I can see the value of RJ over AR+JG in the playoffs, and I'm not arguing that, but we have to get to the playoffs first. And the one way to do it is by having an net increase in our Win Shares... Since prospects don't earn Major League Win Shares, they are more easily given up in a deal like this... In summation, We can't afford to give up two contributing members of our team for one, when it doesn't appear that it will actually add any more wins to our season. Comparing this propsed deal to the Garcia one is easy. Garcia (8.5WS)>MO (4.7WS) + JR (0 WS) = 3.8 net gain Johnson (11.5 ) ~ JG(5.9WS) + AR(5.3WS) = .3 net gain .3 Net gain in WS, that's not enough to guarentee a trip to the post season.... Now if you removed either one of or the other of AR and JG, and replaced them with 2 prospects, you'd have a net gain of 5 something, and that should be enough to guarentee sucsess in the Regular season. And we know what RJ can do in the Post season.

Two RJ items in today's news
Gene Honda Civic replied to Al Lopez Ghost (old)'s topic in Pale Hose Talk
Garland and Rowand are two of the most underrated and unappreciated White Sox. Why do you think another team wants them? Descision is easy, RJ>Garand by a few wins down the stretch... I'll be generous and say 5. But if you give up Rowand too, you've got to sticks in the out field and below average defense out there to boot. Add to that I'm sure Diaz/Rauch plus another prospect are in that deal and it makes it a no brainer... No to RJ... -
The Evil misquoter is out in full force today.

Lakers. Team with the most rapists wins.

Kotsay's having a career year, it's en vouge to compare to him because he's doing well right now... You don't hear anyone being compared to Fredd McGriff, Robin Ventura or RObbie Alomar cuz they're all having s***ty ends to thier careers, even though I'm sure anyone would be happy if thier prospects compared well to them.

The Judy s*** is old -- Especially when MB has been far more guilty of it this season.
-
Yeah Uribe's really hot. He's 9-60 in the last 20 games. with an OPS of .515 :puke
-
I questioned it last night too... But the next three nights are all lefties.... We'll get a heavy dose of Rowand... It's unfortunate that he didn't play last night though, Harden is exatly the type of pitcher Rowand has been hitting this season. A RHer who can throw hard, Rowand has been cheating and pulling fastballs down the left field line on ropes against those type of guys.

Yeah I wasn't going to bother responding... I just spent 30 minutes relaying everything on the phone to my dad... As for your Basso comment earlier...I don't know what to make of Basso. Before the tour I predicted him to end up being the biggest dissapointment of the tour. Right now I'd say that goes to Heras(who hasn't even had to TT yet). -- The CSC team is going to be an interesting one to watch... They've got 4 guys who could win any of the remaining stages. (Basso, Sastre, Julich, and Piil) -- Basso has finished high in the TdF before, but he was really disappointing in the pre-tour tune-ups. Riis has a good eye for talent though, and has shown he can make the best of it, (hamilton, and Sastre).
-
I agree with JG -- There were some bad calls, specifically in the 4th. -- On the other hand our guys didn't exactly work Harden deep in the count to force some bad calls on the other end.

Tony I was going to say the exact same thing... I got that far... I would read farther, but my head exploded.
