  1. I guess it took me until june to get frustrated. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=387617
  2. they we're THAT far back. but far enough.... Where was that when I wanted it back in April/May?
  3. agreed, shut him down... Diaz is eligible to come back up... I wanna see Diaz start the rest of the season. I'm starting to belive that if KW does get another pitcher in the offseason JG will be shown the door. That will require someone to step up.
  4. They haven't said anything... Though I'm pretty sure that I read the 495 thing while at a game this season... And I'm positive that Chavez had the longest of any player at USCF. I don't think JB's passed it.
  5. I think you're right about Farthest by a WS player, though according to a quiz @ WSI Dan Pasqua hit a 484 ft. HR in 91 -- that is what they list.... Though I know Eric Chavez was measured at over 500 ft.
  6. I don't believe you can make a lower offer. Otherwise we would have had Carl Everett on the team from ST this season.
  7. landed on the concourse behind section 104/105
  8. easily the longest HR by a White Sox this season.
  9. I'm cautious, but somebody is definitely going to pay maggs more than 11.2 MIL. Holy s*** Borchard actually went yard... With men on base... All the way to the f***ing concourse.
  10. This is why I believe Maggs is a good shot to return next season. Not on a long contract, but 1-year deal with an option.
  11. Since we're playing the national league, Ozzie wants to have a couple good PH'ers coming off the bench. What better way to do that than have your two remaining 100 RBI guys riding the pine. On a side note, that breaking ball from Myers looks nasty. It reminds me of when we saw Duscherer earlier this season.
  12. it's not just early season... In fact, earlier in the year USCF ranked behind Wrigley, Coors, and Ameriquest for HR's/G. Now, USCF leads by quite a lot. Just take a look at the White Sox Home/Road splits. Home(USCF) Sox (64 games) - 111HR's opponents - 96 HR's Road (64 games) Sox - 78 HR's opponents - 80 HR's
  13. Even if he doesn't regress to his old self, He'll never match the season he had this year again. And that means you'd be overpaying for his services for the life of his contract.
  14. USCF has more HR's/G than Coors this season.
  15. Sox have been inexplicably horrible this season vs. LHP... but I don't think that's a worry for next season. OPS vs LHP (career/2004) FT - 1.114/.840 (batted only .200 this season) PK - .823/.910 - (had the biggest difference in splits(RHP/LHP) in baseball in 2003) AR - .919/1.080 CL - .777/.955 JC - .770/.666 MO - .944/.913 JU - .744/.801 -- Batting .240 -- He's not as bad as I thought. The problem lies in the middle of the infield against LHP. JV - .568/.547 WH- .448/.471 CE - .698/.555 Add a catcher and Ross Gload/Timo Perez/Carl Everett and there's some automatic outs against lefties. But those are so bad, they aren't hard to upgrade to decent hitters.
  16. I just did a little number crunching for my blog... Since June 9th, the day Johann Santana started his 16 consecutive QS streak, Esteban Loaiza has had exactly 1 quality start.... Felix Diaz has had the same number of QS's.
  17. http://www.snopes.com/rumors/pentagon.htm
  18. He was traded for Pedro once... I see him replacing him again... Pedro is going to get a dose of the 15-year-old-who-just-got-dumped-by-the-hot-girl-and-now-has-to-make-it-look-like-he-doesn;t-really-want-her-anyway-Boston-Media, just like Nomar and others have recieved.
  19. And if he doesn't he WILL end up with the Sox.... The Red Sox
  20. As much as I loved Ventura growing up. He's become severely overrated by sox fans. He only hit above 300 once, and that wasn't even in a Sox uniform. He only posted an OPS above .900 once, and that wasn't in a Sox uni either. He hasn't batted above .250 since 1999.
  21. I just spit coke on my computer screen. Thanx.
