Isn't that a terrible idea... If the guy doesn't pitch tomorrow, he can have an extra week of rest/rehab... I don't know if one game is worth the rest of his career, cuz we know he's going to be feeling the weight of an 8 game defecit....

They were 2 games out of first at the time, two games ahead of third... The best the cubs can be after today is in second, .5 games up on third. 8 games out of first. Anyone want to wager on what the headline reads tomorrow?

Here's a question: Corey-I'm-a-power-hitter-Patterson is batting 3rd today. WHY????? Why even let this guy sniff the 3rd spot... His biggest assett to that team is his speed, which he chooses not to showcase... If I'm dusty I hit him 1,2,or 7,8 until he learns how to hit there... He needs to learn how if they want to do anything in the postseason... Even letting him think he can hit 3 right now is just reinforcing his belief that he is a power hitter. It's like giving into a little kid who's trowing a tantrum, just to avoid a scene... You teach him to throw more tantrums... Well now CP is going to think he should hit #3 in game 7 of the NLCS.

I'm not going to Boycott because Mark doesn't make it... As long as he's replaced by Santana... Since June 1 -- Santana 54.2IP 1.97 ERA 71K 10BB .68WHIP .145BAA -- Those numbers are f***ing sick, and it's terrible that he's not there. Loaiza going is a joke...

If you take away Loaiza's two starts where he feasted on the D-Rays, His ERA is terrible...(5.33) Meanwhile Garland has a 2.40 ERA in 2 starts vs. the Yanks.

Jon Garlands last two starts have been better than the Two Freddy Garcia starts in a WS uni... In fact both of freddy's starts he's been more Judy than Jon has, and nobody's given him a derogatory nickname yet.

Weren't we two games up with two weeks to go in the season. The World Champs were 13 games back at the ASB last season.

I'd rather have garland facing the Twins than Loaiza... Loaiza hasn't shown any abilty to get guys out this year.

Yeah -- In 2001 at this point he was down almost 30 minutes... It's all about who it is ahead of you.... Holding onto the lead expends a lot of energy, especially off the team... And the team is really needed on the morre mountainous stages... Lance, and the other faorites should take over the top spots in the Pyrenees, next week... Starting wednesday I beleive.
