JULIE SWIECA resigns from the score?
Gene Honda Civic replied to southsideirish's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
her bio on Score website There's two pretty telling things on her bio that say she's a sox fan -
Useless info ahead... the one midget who is trying to win the afffection of the Littlest groom, was the midget stripper at Carmen and Daves bachelor/bachelorette party on that other crappy reality show on MTV. I think her name is Mika, which is also my best friend's dog's name.

FlaSoxxJim got it right... Speaking as someone who did vote for Nader in 2000, I knew that he wasn't going to win the election, but the goal was to earn 5% and the federal funding that went along with it. IIRC, the only state where he earned 5% was Oregon, where the Green party is firmly entrenched. Without the benefit of the Green party this time, he'll get less of the vote. Plus I think there are enough rational people in the "anybody-but-bush" camp, who realize they have to vote for the same candidate, with a realistic chance of winning. Many of those same people voted for nader 4 years ago. Am I the only one who thinks that Nader is going to have NO trouble raising money... I wouldn't be surprised to see staunchly Republican supporters sending money to the Nader camp, in hopes that he'll steal enough votes from Kerry.

Baggio and Loaiza haven't signed up yet, I'm going to send them another PM, and give them a couple more days, and then open it up to a few more players.

Sorry I've been gone all day, but i just spent the past 15 minutes making a cheat sheet for the movie quiz. Don't open if you don't want ALL of the answers. ANSWERS

If this was posted on Fark I'd give it an tag. College campuses are always more liberal than the rest of the country. College professors are usually more liberal than thier secondary education counterparts. That's why they are proffessors. Just think about college campuses as a whole during the 60's. There wasn't a more liberal place to be than berkely, Cali. For that reason Berkely remains a polarized city today. However, for every extremely liberal environment (berkely) there's an equally extreme conservative environment to counter it (Wheaton, BYU) It's all relative

I was going to wait until somwhere closer to the season to bring up this suggestion, but since you prompted, here goes. Head over to NFL-fans.com, and poke around for a few minutes, pay attention to the banners. They are running a remotely hosted CGI script that will randomly change the banner on page load. It would be really easy to do, once we get some good action photos of the season. Just create a template and drop in players to make a new banner. I think that would look sweet... But for now, just do whatever you want.

Mike Williams is reportedly heading to NFL
Gene Honda Civic replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The Cardinals drafted WR in the first round last year... And that wasn't the Rookie of the Year Anquan Boldin.... I highly doubt they take another WR. -
i figured out everything but the D

incredible live show, get there early so you don't miss out. Expect a lot of long jams, and not all that much singing... High energy, good times. He cut his teeth playing in Churches in the NY area.

here ya go

I guess I should have stated, i had enough patience to read through a third time... saving my computer from certain doom.
-
17. Jack White -- WTF!?!?!? Also I read through twice without seeing Buddy Guy... I was going to throw something through my computer. Ben Harper --- incerdible guitar player, uses anywhere from 6-10 diffent guitars in a show --- certainly better than Robert Randolph, who plays a simillar style-slide guitar

Mike Williams is reportedly heading to NFL

I already posed this query in the "flying under the radar thread" Is this the best WR draft class ever? You have the William triplets (Mike-USC, Reggie-Washington, and Roy-Texas) plus hiesman runner-up Larry Fitzgerald, plus Mark Clayton's stock is rising since the Senior Bowl. All of these guys are significant;y better than Terrel was coming out, and yet we took him with the 8th pick. -
I think you can expect 1999-2000 Sirotka like numbers from him:Sirotka's stats Somwhere in the 200 inning range, about 4.00 ERA... His innings will no doubt increase just based on the managerial change. JM had no confidence in JG, and routinely took him out early. I think OG will leave him in longer and give him a chance to work himself out of jams. Plus the kid is only 24 years old, Alfonso Soriano is 28, both are in thier first year of arbitration eligability. JG still has a VERY HIGH cieling, he has yet to reach his full potential. ------------------------ As for a response to the thread title. I don't think anyone has a chance to be an E-lo. E-Lo was an opening day starter for the Blue Jays before falling out of favor. The oneguy I think who has a chance to really impress is Grilli, And that's just based on his draft position. He has an equal chance of getting toasted and not making the club.

Weekly Update League Thread
Gene Honda Civic replied to Chisoxfn's topic in PTC/Contest/Fantasy Board
I've never had a league where it mattered who played which outfield position, It would be more difficult, but MUCH more interesting... I'm up for it. -
Mike Williams, walks through door opened by Clarett Not only could this be the best recieving class ever. But just the guys named Williams would be arguably the beast recieving class. (Roy - Texas, Reggie Washington, Mike - USC)

82.5 for us is the toughest pick... recent history shows that we win around 82 games a year, the only years we were below that were following the "white flag" trade, and 2002... Granted not much was done to improve the team this offseason, but with the weakest division in baseball, and our history of playing just above mediocrity. I say we win about 85 games 2003 AL Cent 86-76 2002 AL Cent 81-81 2001 AL Cent 83-79 2000 AL Cent 95-67 1999 AL Cent 75-86 1998 AL Cent 80-82 1997 AL Cent 80-81 1996 AL Cent 85-77 The Cubs - have made the playoffs twice in recent years, Followed both of those campaigns with terrible seasons.. They have lost 90+ games 4 of the past 8 seasons. Even with thier improvements, they are likely to underachieve. They may have a winning record, but with substancial competition in the division(astros) they will fall short of 92 wins 2003 NL Cent 88-74 2002 NL Cent 67-95 2001 NL Cent 88-74 2000 NL Cent 65-97 1999 NL Cent 67-95 1998 NL Cent 90-73 1997 NL Cent 68-94 1996 NL Cent 76-86 The Royals - Have had one winning season in the past 10 years, Talent is slightly better than last season, when they had a magical exsistence to reach just 83 wins. they are likely to falter a little but they have a solid core, and play in the weakest division in baseball, 81 wins. 2003 AL Cent 83-79 2002 AL Cent 62-100 2001 AL Cent 65-97 2000 AL Cent 77-85 1999 AL Cent 64-97 1998 AL Cent 72-89 1997 AL Cent 67-94 1996 AL Cent 75-86 1995 AL Cent 70-74 1994 AL Cent 64-51

This is the idiot who attacked the KC first base coach, Gamboa. If you're going to come out in defense of him be prepared to be flamed around here.
