  1. Yes, it's bad form in a Win Celebration thread. Time to celebrate when we can, plenty of other threads for other sentiments.
  2. Their record low at the new park when attendance was allowed was 1,338,851 in 1999. They have drawn 547,389 (18,246 per game) through today . Assuming no additional rainouts and straight doubleheaders, they will need to average 15,519 per game the rest of the season to exceed that number. Likely already clinched it already between season tickets sold, and additional tickets sold for the Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox and Cardinals series. That said, these are dreadful numbers during a "multi-championship window".
  3. I remember a game starting with it. Bevington ejected before the at bat was over.
  4. Romy clutch. Detroit going with five infielders.
  5. Really nice inning there by Lopez after the walk.
  6. Lopez pitched 18 pitches yesterday. Crochet or Bummer the more logical options of the three left.
  7. Would be fitting for the final run to also score on a wild pitch. Bummer and Crochet the only two pitchers left, with Kelly throwing 24 yesterday.
  8. No, they are not sitting Robert or Benintendi for Burger, RF is the only spot. It makes no sense to play Burger in RF, because you're just DHing the better OF. Send Sheets down, it will work itself out.
  9. He doesn't need to play OF. Eloy would just DH. Sheets needs to sit, Hahn needs to send Sheets down for Hamilton if this persists.
  10. Liam Hendriks up in the Sox bullpen. Middleton pitched last night, so perhaps he'll come in for the 7th.
  11. Perhaps Sheets has to get under .700 before Burger returns to the lineup. Meanwhile, it's a six peat for Chris to the IL, https://www.mlb.com/news/chris-sale-on-injured-list-with-shoulder-inflammation
  12. Sox score in the 6th. Cease 1-6 Bummer 7 (Last Appearance Tuesday) Santos 8 (Monday) Hendriks 9 (Monday) Friday: Graveman 15 pitches, Kelly 24, Lopez 18, Middleton 9 Wednesday: Crochet 27
  13. Eloy on a career tying 13 game hit streak, with an IL stint contained within said streak.
  14. They had four legitimate solid seasons during that stretch (win division with 90 + wins). 2014 90-72 2015 100-62 2019 91-71 2022 93-69 The playoffs are nothing but a grift scheme, especially best of one or three garbage wild card rounds. If Hahn was here for forty more years, he won't win four divisions with 90+ win seasons. Also, there is no connection between Saint Louis Cardinals Baseball and the Bud Light "marketing debacle". The Busch family sold the Cardinals to Bill DeWitt in 1995, and sold their 5% shares in Anheuser Busch to In-Bev, a Belgium Company, before the 2008 White Sox "Blackout Game". It's like saying the Houston Astros are "implicitly connected" to the 2001 Enron scandal. It's another ludicrous statement and connection.
  15. I’d replace Hahn with Timothy Leary or Hunter Thompson. Would replace Levine with Thompson as well.
  16. I’m OK with Romy getting a day off, but Grigio saying Elvis can regain his everyday starting spot back is absurd, whether you are trying to win now or in the future.
