Collins also catches Giolito's starts. I understand I hold a minority opinion, but this is one of the few things the team is doing I understand and support. The starting pitching is the only thing keeping this team afloat. It also appears the other three starters are comfortable throwing to Grandal. The platoon advantage for a single spot in the lineup is not as important as the team's starter. I agree Grandal's health and hitting has improved, and he should play 1B or DH more games, like he did under Ricky last season. For load management, 95-100 games caught plus additional 1B or DH work is reasonable for a catcher in his 30s to keep him fresh and healthy. They should be sitting Abreu, Anderson and Moncada 2-3 games a month for regular rest, but they currently only sit when injured, which becomes more likely if they do not get regular rest days.

The White Sox could have used three home runs last night. Thank you Rick Hahn for decades of torture,- Jake Burger 4 DH!

Didn't know Bob Odenkirk's roles beyond The Larry Sanders Show before the podcast, really fun interview. Liked the music discussion.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Haven't seen security crack down on the beer snake phenomenon this season. Dozens of drunken yahoos assembling hundreds of beer cups across multiple rows and sections. Then again beer snakes add thousands to Jerry's beer revenue. Gee, which scenario will security clamp down upon?- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Not sure why Yoan is continually trashed on this board. Reached three times today, once more than Precious, and leads the team in OPS. In terms of missing games, he's one game behind Abreu for the games played lead. Had COVID last year and still played all but 8 games, more than Tim Anderson and nearly everyone else.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT

Never mind, I found it. Could they have just left with the popcorn, which was more valuable than watching the Sox, even if it was stale. Jerry's goons at work. Poor kid wondering if it's worth it to go to this park again.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Please post a clip of this. Listening to the radio broadcast. Perhaps they'll get a day off and can avoid the bullpen for the most part on Sunday. Sox are 8-2 in these truncated games, would only be 7 games over without that advantage, Nancy used to play this.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Team leader Yoan Moncada comes through again, injured. Heart of a champion!- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Most teams rest their regulars a couple games a month. Yoan, Tim and Jose are only off when too injured to play. Robert didn’t get a game off until he was hurt. There needs to be better load management, can’t play 162.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Yoan just under .800 OPS heading into today with the top spot on the roster. He is not the issue. Vaughn over .700 and providing the only health decent OF play is not the issue. Abreu outside of May has been the issue, beyond the injuries.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Well, theoretically the Sox could score 4 in a game, was 3-1 at the time.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT
Vaughn doubles against a righty, glad they didn’t send him down today.- Mariners @ Sox, 6/25, 7:10 PM CT

Garbage #3-#5 starters. No East / West teams scheduled. Wouldn’t bet my house on that theory. - Fernando Tatis Jr. thread
