4-2 GT: CWS @ LAA (8:38 PM CT)
Thanks for confirming, they just announced the error, but DJ and Len weren’t too critical, didn’t mention an error until the official scorer ruled it a error.

Was the Eaton play bad or just a tough play? Listening on radio.

What’s the “rule” of a player is “injured” without facing three batters? Are they not allowed to return for a set number of games? I remember Sam I Am Wyche having his team fake a bunch of injuries to stop the no huddle offense.

Definitely against LHP. Like to see TLR give him starts against RHP as well, will produce more than Jake Lamb for certain. And just like that, Karma has bit the board in the add after someone trashed Pujols earlier.

Awesome Grand Slam!!!! I hope Robert backs second against LH all season to get better protection. Just needs to stay patient and work walks if they aren’t throwing strikes like he did that at bat.

Too bad Hawk is at home, he’d be able to run down and check on him. Slappy slapped another one.

Steve Stone said during his appearance Thursday on the Laurence Holmes Show the key to the 2021 season will be depth. Hahn assembled a roster with meager depth, splurging on a few overpriced veterans the past two off seasons and leaving numerous great inexpensive FA depth and starting options for the better run teams. Nice first hit Mercedes!!!

So glad I am listening to the radio. Not sure if you can sync it with the video. Kasper and DJ have been great.

LOL The Nick Trubisky Stans are in mid season form 10 innings in.

Yep, hence the nap. Revolution has the best barrel program in the city IMO, passed Goose Island a few years ago. Ryeway to Heaven was the star this year, Thundertaker was a solid new option. Tough first inning batting, glad they got out with only one run after Abreu’s error.

I have a beer each day, picked a heavy hitter today barrel aged for a year each in different Weller barrels. Had to take a nap afterwards, but ready to go and excited for the game. Wonder if Keuchel can go five today. Excited to see Yermin and Vaughn bat, a little nervous regarding Vaughn in LF. Hope he doesn't get hurt.

I do as well, just commenting on Vaughn’s debut in LF and dropping a Vaughn 99 reference. I’m OK with Andrew playing 5-10 games in LF while Engel recovers. Vaughn should then play DH, and serve to give Abreu and Moncada a breather on their off days (Jake Lamb needs to be released) and focus on adjusting to ML pitching. Defensively, Andrew with no experience is still likely an upgrade over Eloy defensively, even if Andrew has trouble learning the position. Eloy is truly “unique” with his -1.9 dWAR after just over a season (168 games) in LF.

Vaughn batting fifth and in LF. Cues Wild Thing, Andrew Mix!

What we learned from Opening Day
Yes, Steve Stone, who also criticized the play, Laurence Holmes and I are ignorant baseball viewers.

What we learned from Opening Day
Haters gonna hate. Baseball fundamentals don’t go out the window because a dumb play “worked”. Unless there is a ball goes to the backstop, do not a steal third with two outs.

You confuse “Butt Hurt” with humor. RIP Eloy trending is hilarious.

I was extremely disappointed the White Sox weren’t wearing #74 patches to honor Eloy last night. RIP big guy in the sky.
