It was unfortunate that Grandal was the runner making a hit and run less likely. But the Abreu DP could have been avoidable by hit and running with Robert at first. TLR will not hit and run with Abreu or Eloy at bat, and we are stuck with one double play after another. We need a different manager next season.

AJ called for Crochet to walk Bregman to get to the lefty Alvarez particularly when the count got to 3-0. Bad pitching selection probably cost us 3 runs. Agree with AJ. Bring in Kopech to blow away the righty Correa. We have no margin for error. Walks also killed us, but we had a better chance to get out of the inning with Kopech. TLR tends to leave starters in too long in game situations.

Formula is be patient, work the count and build up his pitch count, avoid swinging at sliders out of the zone and look for the fastball to hit. Easier said than done, but if we execute we are in business.
