  1. Another DP. I guess it comes with the territory, when you are a ground ball hitting team.
  2. Abreu hitting an around the horn double play.
  3. You are right. Too impatient.
  4. The problem is that he is not getting it up in the air. He is also another great DP candidate.
  5. You could be right. Will find out for sure in the games ahead. Hope you are right.
  6. Great hustle by Yoan to make it to second. Takes the DP out of the equation from Abreu (but not the K).
  7. After last night’s painful loss, TLR figured that he needed to come back strong today. Couldn’t take another bad loss with big crowd on hand, and get into a losing streak. If we would have won yesterday, we probably would have seen the dreaded Sunday lineup instead.
  8. Like this lineup. NoGoodwin or Mendick. Grandal DH. Thanks to TLR for not penciling our usual Sunday lineup.
  9. They were all swinging for the fences, when what we needed was contact. This lack of contact is an area where we will miss Madrigal most next season.
  10. And leaving our worst defender Goodwin in the game late instead.
  11. How many games has TLR cost us this season with his bad moves? I venture to say quite a few.
  12. You are right on. We never try to steal or hit and run, and just watch hitting one double play after another, and not adjust.
  13. Another inexplicable TLR move. Preferring Mendick to Vaughn in that situation is not wise.
  14. I don’t understand most of TLR moves. He has been a terrible manager. Hope he retires after this season. Mendick pinch hitting and then leaving Goodwin in against the lefty. I would have taken my chances with Sheets and Vaughn. Mendick as a pinch hitter in that situation is unacceptable. Would have brought Crochet in the top of 10 th. I am so frustrated that in practically every game, a TLR move has to be questioned. His station to station style, never putting a runner in play, is not working.
  15. Mendick pinch hitting?
  16. Right on. But it would never happen with TLR. He hardly ever puts runners in play. He is the quintessential station to station manager. Not good in one run games.
  17. Is Tepera not available.? Wright is not a game on the line type pitcher. More like a mop up duty pitcher. This drama would not have been necessary had not been for another Kimbrel wild pitch.
  18. It’s tough to have an effective Kimbrel pitching with men on base, with his high number of wild pitches. The Kimbrel trade is a bust. We gave up too much when we already had a closer. Sox did the reverse of the Quintana trade when we fleeced the Cubs, and the Cubs now fleeced Hahn back.
  19. Now he takes out Hamilton out for Sheets and we end up with a bad defensive corner outfield in a tied game late. That’s TLR for you again.
  20. You could still throw the fastball lower to make it more difficult to hit a fly ball.
  21. Then the bench or Kimbrel has to overrule Yaz.
  22. Last pitch you wanted to throw was a high fastball when you are trying to avoid a sacrifice fly. Kike is a good fastball hitter.
  23. Kimbrel was a bad trade from the start. Gave up too much when we already had a closer, and what we needed was an outfielder.
  24. Right on. We carry a lot of relievers. Use them. No way you let a reeling Cease pitch to Shaw with two on. Try to keep the game at 4-2., then we have a good chance to come back.
