9/17 GT: White Sox @ Rangers 7:05 PM
Good to see Tim back. We need to win this game after two losses in a row to the Angels at home, which were a big downer.

I don’t think anybody in the crowd at GRF is coming out to see Tony.

I hope the Sox do not waste their Championship window with a crappy manager like TLR. The team, the city and the fans deserve a better manager. TLR low energy, no sense of urgency, boring ineffective station to station baseball with no runners in play with many double plays, perplexing on field decisions, Sunday lineups, etc. should not be the norm.

This rationale doesn’t make sense, when you have the best home record in the league, and the fans coming out in droves to GRF. We have a better chance to compete at home. Need to get into the playoffs with a sense of urgency, a winning attitude and kicking ass, not playing Sunday lineups and punting under the rest is needed rationale. You have five months to rest and enjoy the big bucks they are getting paid after the season is over.

My bad. I meant HFA. I have been dealing with my HOA this morning and was stuck in my mind. Apologize.

No Goodwin. Pleasant surprise. On the other hand no Grandal. No Moncada. I hope fo r the first time in the season, we make Grandal and/ or Moncada available for pinch hitting as warranted.TLR has been too formulaic, not adjusting to circumstances.

Then we can rest players if and when Astros clinch HFA. We need to continue fighting for HFA in the meantime.

But Abreu won’t be able to hit into DP with first base open, and now we have Grandal protecting him.

We did. Not running Leury was a big blunder. TLR has put away the run sign in a closet.

You are both right. Madrigal would have made contact and bring in the runner from third with less than 2 outs. Will be missing him.

You never wished that we hit and run anytime with Abreu at bat, and then watch another rally killing double play?

I think the current Sox full strength lineup could be considered more than good, actually closer to great.

Doesn’t make any sense putting +Cesar a Gold Glove winner, and Kimbrel anAll star closer in the same category as Goodwin, who is a AAA caliber player and a really bad defensive outfielder.
-

His defense has been terrible all season. Not making contact in the 9 th with the tying run at 3rd and one out dropped his stock even more. I still say he is a AAA caliber player.

TLR never pinch hits with players that have the day off. Total “rest”.

TLR station to station baseball is one of the reasons we don’t win one run games. If we don’t hit a homer we generally lose. No attempt at putting runners in motion, no hit and runs, not putting pressure on the defense or opening holes in the opposing infield.
-
9/15 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 7:10
Any good outfielder would have been more valuable than Kimbrel as an everyday player. Going with Goodwin most of the time has cost us games. He is AAA player. Not making any contact tonight with Billy at third and 1 out was a killer. Wished Cesar would have been hitting ahead of Goodwin instead. He got the ball up in the air.
-
9/15 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 7:10
He will never try. Team is under TLR station to station methodology. Runners are ever hardly in motion. No pressure on the defense.

Have faith. Iglesias has a 2.76 ERA not 0.00 ERA so there is still hope.

Jose has been in a slump, other than the3 run homer he has done zilch. It almost feels like a double play in the making. Not producing in the 3 rd spot lately. Hope he can right the ship soon.

He just would not take a walk. Sheets also would not take a walk swinging at a pitch over his head last inning.
-
9/15 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 7:10
Right on. It was a flat fastball middle middle on 3-2. A shame because Kopech was pitching so well. He missed location , if it would have been up in the zone it would have been a K or at worst a walk.
-
9/15 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 7:10
This season home plate umpiring has been terrible. Worse I have seen in years.
-
9/15 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 7:10
Kopech makes Keuchel look even worse than he is. The performance gap is exponential.
-

Thank God. I would have had a cardiac event if Keuchel would have come out in the7 th.
