  1. Is Tepera not available.? Wright is not a game on the line type pitcher. More like a mop up duty pitcher. This drama would not have been necessary had not been for another Kimbrel wild pitch.
  2. It’s tough to have an effective Kimbrel pitching with men on base, with his high number of wild pitches. The Kimbrel trade is a bust. We gave up too much when we already had a closer. Sox did the reverse of the Quintana trade when we fleeced the Cubs, and the Cubs now fleeced Hahn back.
  3. Now he takes out Hamilton out for Sheets and we end up with a bad defensive corner outfield in a tied game late. That’s TLR for you again.
  4. You could still throw the fastball lower to make it more difficult to hit a fly ball.
  5. Then the bench or Kimbrel has to overrule Yaz.
  6. Last pitch you wanted to throw was a high fastball when you are trying to avoid a sacrifice fly. Kike is a good fastball hitter.
  7. Kimbrel was a bad trade from the start. Gave up too much when we already had a closer, and what we needed was an outfielder.
  8. Right on. We carry a lot of relievers. Use them. No way you let a reeling Cease pitch to Shaw with two on. Try to keep the game at 4-2., then we have a good chance to come back.
  9. I don’t recall even one hit and run play with Abreu at bat this season. TLR just does not adjust. Waiting for the long ball, and more often we get the double play around the horn instead. This station to station static baseball is so frustrating.
  10. A strike out would have been better. Need to help Abreu putting runner in motion with hit and run plays.
  11. Two double plays tonight. Need to put runners in motion with him at bat at least once in a while.
  12. All the walks scored. Walks opened the floodgates. He should have been taken out earlier and not be allowed to pitch to Shaw to keep the game manageable. Games seem to move too fast for TLR.
  13. He has been watching and learning from Grandal.
  14. Wish we hit and run with Moncada and Abreu. Any other outcome can’t be worse than the double play we have been getting too often.
  15. Never heard of this guy. Let’s put the hammer down on him tonight.
  16. Can’t believe Goodwin is back in the lineup. His defense is a big liability, not compensated by any offensive contribution.
  17. As long as we stay away from the Sunday lineup,we should win the series.
  18. We don’t play small ball. Swinging for the fences and not getting homers does not provide good outcomes. It is feast or famine.
  19. Fastball looks too flat. Need to mix it with some breaking pitches.
  20. Not with 11LOB. Goodwin in the outfield. Other defensive miscues.
  21. Got away with it with the bottom of the lineup, but need to mix some breaking balls in there.
  22. More likely the “triple” missed by Goodwin is the one that could bite us.
  23. His mind has not been in this game. Getting picked off at 2 nd base hurt big time. As well.
  24. Defense is paramount late in a one run game. We already have enough pop in the game.
