  1. I would have loved to see Kopech pitch the 9th on Sunday against the Yankees instead of Foster. But he seldom comes in if the Sox are losing.
  2. Maybe we should hit Robert ahead of Moncada and Vaughn.
  3. Maybe we need to give some of these guys the TA ke sign once in a while when we think the splitter is coming with less than 2 strikes.
  4. Hard to do against a good splitter. Our guys need to be less anxious and take more splitters, can’t hit them anyway.
  5. No. It was a K instead. Bad but better than DP.
  6. He is right. Goodwin is a AAA player. Would have lovedGallo or Bryant acquisition, who can contribute in every game unlike a pitcher. And not having to see Goodwin in the outfield is a big plus.
  7. Goodwin was laughing as he was tagged out. These mental farts hurt even more in tied games against good teams.
  8. Why is Goodwin trying to go to third with 2 outs? He would already be in scoring position at second.
  9. We have a large ground ball hitting rate. We need to adjust by calling more hit and run plays, even if you get thrown out is only one out vs all the double plays we have been hitting into. We would also open holes in the infield. We are sitting ducks in a station to station static game.
  10. He didn’t even run on second 3-2 count to Abreu. Hit and run and steal attempts also open holes in the infield as well as avoiding double plays. Anderson should be running every time he is at first.
  11. I don’t either. Sox seem to be hit and run and base steal averse. But also frequently hitting into rally killing double plays, which come hand n hand.
  12. Glad Cesar got the ball up in the air in a potential double play situation and drove in a run.
  13. We had McCann. Anderson will not take walks and is not setting the table. I would hit him second.
  14. He has sucked lately. Too many passed balls.
  15. Not at all. I am sure we have one of the most double plays hit into as well, as they come hand in hand.
  16. I also take Cease over Keuchel at this time. Heck, even ReyLo.
  17. This why we needed to go all out to win at the Twins, before we ran into the better teams. We have been punting many games lately.
  18. It was a 3-2 count. Didn’t need to swing at a ball to protect. Just take the walk.
  19. Because he is a switch hitter and TLR loves match ups.
  20. Bad news on Engel. Will get stuck with more Goodwin bad D. Wished Foster would have been optioned two days ago.
  21. There were no challenging during TLR previous managerial stints. Hope he has learnt his lesson. He was exposed on the TBS nationally broadcast game yesterday, and he was called out and embarrassed by the TBS announcers.
  22. Ask for first base coaches and runners feedback to help in deciding. Err on the side of challenging in critical/game situations.
  23. OK, but in the 7th we had nothing to lose by challenging and maybe we could have gotten lucky.
