Tonight yes, same as Engel becoming Goodwin tonight.

I for one would have preferred to have obtained a good defensive slugging outfielder as our number one priority. Kimbrel was a nice to have but a luxury. We need more power at GRF where most opponents are out homering us, and is making it more difficult to comeback when we are down.

The guy hit 3 homers in a game a few days ago, hit 20 homers at Charlotte in 2019, looked terrible in the first two bunting tries in the at bat, and still is asked to bunt with 2 strikes and against a lefty. Come on! Would like to hear from Soxtalk TLR defenders about this bonehead move.

Not as much as Abreu. Abreu has been a ground ball to third and DP machine lately. When is TLR going to hit and run with man on first and Abreu at the plate.?

Sox debuted tonight the new Nasty Boys 2. Bummer in the 7 th.; Kimbrel in the 8 th and Hendriks in the 9 th. Shades of the great Reds Nasty Boys 1 trio of Charlton, Dibble and Myers. Hope we have many opportunities to showcase this band of nasty brothers.

My beef with Goodwin has been on defense. His hitting has been better. If we had room for him, I am fine for him as backup, pinch hitter and occasional DH,but not an everyday outfielder. He has been exposed as an awful outfielder.

Goodwin has been exposed over and over as a terrible outfielder. ReyLo bailed him out in the 6 th. We need to get Robert into the OF and pronto. Don’t we have any other capable outfielders in the minors just in case? Goodwin cannot continue playing in the outfield.

Agree. Throwing in Leury and Goodwin in the outfield over and over catches up with you in a hurry. Why wasn’t Goodwin at 2 nd on the dropped pop up in the fifth.?. Leury first two at bats hit too balls that went one feet with bases loaded and another10ft...
