  1. This home plate umpire has been awful. He is umpiring because he is from Iowa.
  2. Same thing that happened with Keuchel in the 6 th on his last game when he gave up the lead.
  3. I am glad TLR was not managing tonight. Lynn would probably would have been still pitching and we may had lost our lead.
  4. Anderson did not help Lance with that non chalant side arm throw.
  5. Seby is not a one hit ( homer) wonder. He hit 20 homers in Charlotte in2019.
  6. Send someone out to the corn to retrieve that ball!. That’s worth some dough on top of the historical significance.
  7. I am glad Goodwin is not playing CF tonight.
  8. I am on Fox and have not experienced any hiccups.
  9. Shoeless Joe did not play for the Cubs. They should continue on with the Sox.
  10. I am glad they put some serious bleach on the Black Sox.
  11. I only complain on bad losses like the last 2 games/days. Losses which I believe where avoidable.
  12. I am an adult who has played and watched baseball for many decades. You need to be able to adjust a plan if circumstances merit it. One at bat by either Anderson, Moncada and/or Robert, instead of Lamb and Leury, in a 1-0 game in the 9 th was justifiable. Game plans are adjusted in football and basketball all the time during games.
  13. Also Grandal’s D is better than Collins and Zavala.
  14. Managers influence more outcomes in one run games. Good example was today’s game with Ruiz throwing a gopher ball for the winning run, and Anderson, Moncada and Robert on the bench in the 9th of a one run game, and we let Lamb and Leury bat instead. Reluctance to use our best weapons in game situations due possibly to an inflexible game plan is not good management.
  15. Then he should have let someone else manage these 2 games, and he take family leave.
  16. Getting one at bat in the top of the ninth is going to make a big difference in the rest pattern of Robert, Moncada, Anderson , all of which can tie the game with a big fly? Is that too much to ask of guys making millions?
  17. Agree 150%. TLR doesn’t have the killer instinct. We need to bring out our weapons when we have a chance to win. Leury ending the game grounding out meekly on the first pitch with three boppers on the bench on a1-0 deficit in the 9th. Is inexcusable.
  18. Yesterday they also punted leaving Keuchel in one inning too long, and today with Ruiz letting Polanco beat us and not pinch hitting for Lamb and Leury in the 9th.
  19. Inexcusable to have Lamb and Leury hitting at the end of a 1-0 deficit game in the top of the 9th., with three of our boppers sitting on the bench. Presume TLR reasoning is he prefers a. lefty righty matchup, regardless of how crappy the lefty is. A shame.
  20. Both Polanco and Goodwin thought it was a homer. If Polanco would have been running from the start it would have been an inside park homer, as Goodwin misplayed the ball off the wall. One takeaway from this game is not let Polanco beat you.
  21. Catcher is our weakest position now. We were spoiled last season with McCann. Grandal is not the best catcher around but is much better than the Collins/Zabala combo.
  22. No, I am only referring to winnable games when we are one run up late with one of the best bullpens in the league, which is not used, and we give up the lead and lose.
  23. Yes, there is harm. We need to accumulate wins for home field advantage and this was a very winnable bullpen game, but Tony left Keuchel in one inning too long.
