GT 8/11: SOX @ MIN, 12:10
I am an adult who has played and watched baseball for many decades. You need to be able to adjust a plan if circumstances merit it. One at bat by either Anderson, Moncada and/or Robert, instead of Lamb and Leury, in a 1-0 game in the 9 th was justifiable. Game plans are adjusted in football and basketball all the time during games.

GT 8/11: SOX @ MIN, 12:10
Managers influence more outcomes in one run games. Good example was today’s game with Ruiz throwing a gopher ball for the winning run, and Anderson, Moncada and Robert on the bench in the 9th of a one run game, and we let Lamb and Leury bat instead. Reluctance to use our best weapons in game situations due possibly to an inflexible game plan is not good management.

Sox at Twins 8/10, 7:10
Catcher is our weakest position now. We were spoiled last season with McCann. Grandal is not the best catcher around but is much better than the Collins/Zabala combo.

No, I am only referring to winnable games when we are one run up late with one of the best bullpens in the league, which is not used, and we give up the lead and lose.

Yes, there is harm. We need to accumulate wins for home field advantage and this was a very winnable bullpen game, but Tony left Keuchel in one inning too long.

Sox at Twins 8/10, 7:10
Absolutely. We have one of the most dominating bullpens in the league, and TLR Leaves our least dominating pitcher with close to 100 pitch count to pitch the 6 th with a one run lead. This loss is on TLR. You have to manage the games to win with your best weapons. TLR does not have the sense-of urgency to go for the HFA.

It is inexcusable to have Keuchel pitching in the 6 th with a 100pitch count with a man on and a one run lead , and with our vaunted bullpen not even warming up. This one is on TLR.

Sporting some nice shades though.

Could only do it with the strong starting pitching that we have.

Great. Needed a break from the likes of Leury, Goodwin, Lamb, Mendick, Collins et al.

Collins D is terrible and he has not been hitting either. No choice but he grabbing some bench.

Got to give some credit to Yermin for help keeping us afloat at the beginning of the season, along with our strong starters.

I am sure he will be in the game at some time, probably for Robert late.

Heard on Greenberg’s ESPN radio show this morning that the White Sox are the best team in the AL today and by far. Big upgrade with Hernández, Kimbrel and Tepera and with Eloy and Robert back. Also mentioned all the hard throwers in the Sox staff. We have the power house now to go all the way.

You are right. We need the 7 runs more today with Keuchel than yesterday!

Cesar Hernandez is getting on base for the Sox
I think it was the best trade we made. Top notch every game contributor.

He is also a Gold Glove winner, better D as well as power than Madrigal.

Benetti out with breakthrough Covid
It is a shame. Break through infections are everywhere. The government was too premature in stating that vaccinated individuals could go without a mask. This virus and its variants are too novel and it is better to err on the side of caution.
