Cubs were dismantled and downgraded to a AAA team today. Sad for a major market. All their current major stars are gone, on top of Darvish, Schwarber,Caratini at the beginning of the season. If I were a Cub fan, I would not be happy as they had a core group that could have contended, if the Cubs would have kept Darvish and invested in quality starting pitching. I will miss Madrigal , he was one of the few Sox that put the ball in play and didn’t strike out much. We have lost quite a few games this season failing to move runners to third or striking out with men on third and less than 2 outs.

KC has some good position players like Merriwether, Benintendi, Soler and Salvador Perez who can put the hurt on you. Their main weakness is starting pitching, but we can’t even hit their high ERA starters.

Hendriks did not use his slider and his flat fast ball against the middle of KC lineup was not effective tonight.

His fastball is better than Hendrik’s with more movement.

Yoan however did not come through tonight in the 10th when he had a man in scoring position and struck out.
