  1. Walks in the 8 th inning normally score on the Sox.
  2. Yes, you have to throw home immediately. Walk by Graveman created this need. Hate reliever walks in the 8 th inning on a close game!
  3. Cairo gets an F in managing the 10 th. First he doesn’t bunt Josh against the tough Lang, and then doesn’t walk Reyes. Our lack of clutch hitting also hurt.
  4. Cairo pulled a TLR stupid move by not bunting Josh.
  5. Needed to bunt with Josh. He was not going to hit this guy.
  6. But TLR is not managing today.
  7. Fair enough. I was thinking in extras we may be seeing a righty pitcher.
  8. I would not have pinched hit for Sheets regardless of the match up. He is a home run threat and we could have used his bat now and in possible extras. Keep Romy to pinch hit for Josh.
  9. If Baez slides he is probably safe.
  10. Dodged a big bullet with Baezout at the plate. Let’s get some runs. Can’t count on the Twinkies.
  11. We have the worst outfield in MLB.
  12. Another hanger to Baez. Why throw Baez a strike? Once again, I have pleaded several times tonight to not let Baez beat us. He has single, double, trip,e, stolen base. We are such a stupid team.
  13. Stoney affirming that the Sox are much more aggressive now on the bases and with running game than earlier in the year. I take this as a dig on TLR.
  14. Finally Jose comes through in the clutch. Wow! Andrus contributing big time as well.
  15. Our pitchers have been hurt often lately with hanging breaking pitches. Agree that we need to be more selective in calling for breaking pitches in key situations.
  16. Sheets failed to move the runner to third and that cost us a run.
  17. Gordon opened the floodgates with a throwing error. Rosario hits a two run single off Jax on a 0-2 count. Twins suck.
  18. We don’t take walks or work counts.
  19. Most of Abreu’s hits lately have been with the bases empty. He is too impatient with RISP.
  20. I was just asking myself the same question. Benetti said earlier that tonight’s lineup was the same winning lineup as yesterday. Maybe Cairo wanted to double down. But I rather see Romy there.
  21. We need to come back in this game. Guardians losing 3-0 in the 7 th. Need to work some counts, look for a pitch to drive, maybe take a walk or hit a long one. Just as I am finishing this, Harrison grounds out on the first pitch. Same old, same old.
  22. They didn’t get the memo to not let Baez beat us. There is no business throwing Baez a strike. I think that is why Giolito was pulled out. With TLR he would still be there.
  23. Rosenthal is right.. The proof is in the pudding with the recent positive results without TLR. TLR pacemaker battery was apparently running down which didn't help the alertness and energy levels. It was time for a change although I am afraid it came too late.
