GRF is not the park for Groundball City. This is home run city. Poor roster construction with incompetent hitting coach and manager.

Stoney mentioned tonight that Sox need Lefty power at trade deadline but that it probably won’t happen. He expects more like another reliever or two. Ignoring position player needs both on power and defense once again.

TA gets three game suspension, now on appeal. Could have been worse. Get ready for more Leury time.

GRF is the 3 rd most homers stadium in MLB. In other words, very homer friendly, apparently for everyone but the Sox. If we don’t hit homers at GRF we normally lose.

TLR figures we didn’t need defense in right field, because most balls hit there with Lynn pitching would probably be home runs anyway. Oakland hit 5 homers on Friday at GRF while we hit only one. A sure formula for losing. At GRF we need homers, so we need guys like Vaughn in the lineup.

But so has Grandal, who keeps playing, and with a far lower batting avg. than Vaughn.
