  1. In hindsight we should be hitting Pollock or Eloy 3 rd., and Vaughn hitting no higher than 6 with all those ground balls and swings at everything.
  2. We keep hitting ground balls in the infield at Coors. It is hard to hit homers with ground balls. Need to get the ball in the air guys to take advantage of the altitude.
  3. What about a hit and run with Vaughn at the plate, all he has been doing is ground balls in the infield.
  4. He is not going the other way with RISP, but with no one on almost always goes the opposite way and is much more effective.
  5. Engel is sucking more than Leury. You need to make contact with the bases loaded and one out. This is not championship baseball.
  6. Both Moncada and Vaughn would not take a walk swinging at several balls. It is a good idea at Coors to take walks if they are offered, and have home run opportunities with men on.
  7. 3 walks in 2 innings is bad. Normally at Coors is a formula for defeat. We have dodged a bullet so far.
  8. Grandal couldn’t score from first with the double to the wall and with 2 outs. He was just jogging pretty much starting with no secondary lead. Pretty awful, neededeithera triple or HR to score him.
  9. Could have been worse. Not resting any of our better healthy players.
  10. Vaughn’s live shots look almost the same as the slow motion replays.
  11. Yes, we will probably end with two relievers and no lefty outfielder.
  12. Wishful thinking of the day: would the Cubs take Leury, Engel, and Sheets for Happ, and we will throw in TLR for free?
  13. Hope you are right about the wins. Not sure about Tony waking up, there is less oxygen in Denver and he needs more sleep.
  14. Fortunately, you were wrong Boston beats Cleveland 3-1. Not easy to win as visitor at Fenway. Guardians didn’t play a good game, sloppy D, misplayed balls off the Monster.
  15. A good everyday lefty outfielder is the most important need by far.
  16. They hit more homers last year. Homers are key to winning at home and not giving away our homer friendly home advantage to the opposition.
  17. Is Miguel Cairo still alive? He is like a ghost.
  18. His D today has been his worse of the season.
  19. This game proved once again that when we hit homers particularly at GRF we normally win. BTW maybe the stadium name should be changed to GHRF, guaranteed high rate field, in view of higher mortgage interest rates nowadays.
  20. Cal Ripken Jr would not have approved of TLR ball either.
  21. Isn’t Stoney from Cleveland? Maybe he has some contacts within the Guardians. BTW, I hate that moniker Guardians, Indians sounded much better but succumbed to the PC crowd, which now has its sights on theBlackhawks as well.
