I was surprised to hear on the broadcast tonight that Semien played in all 162 games last year, and we are not just talking about Cal Ripken Jr., but TLR needs to rest our guys continually. He may be getting them ready for early golf season the way things are going.

Making Dunning look like a Cy Young candidate with a one hitter through 6. Pathetic.

We have the best pitching in the Central, and this is the reason that we are contending , despite the bad defense,inconsistent hitting, lack of speed and terrible manager, coaching and FO. It was very frustrating that we couldn’t get a good lefty outfielder at the trade deadline, who could have put us over the hump.

Maybe we should not rely just on past accomplishments, and those who are not hitting like Moncada should be grabbing some bench or hitting not higher than 8th.

Jays bad defense gave this game away. Vlad drops a throw to first. The 3 rd baseman threw the ball home on the dirt and the winning run scored for the Twins. A good throw would have had the run at the plate.

Rangers outsucked the Sox tonight. We overcame Moncada, bad defense, no clutch hitting . Our pitchers bailed us out. Cant afford to keep hitting Moncada and Grandal back to back, we dodged that big bullet tonight.

Moncada should not be hitting higher than 8 th when he plays, until he gets his shit together. His D at 3rd has been excellent but at the plate lately it has been a disaster, taking many hittable strikes.

Yoan should not be hitting sixth again tonight. TLR never adjusts and doubles down on all his bad moves.

Incompetent statements from TLR. Bloops fell because Vaughn didn’t read the ball coming out of the bat well, and then was too slow to catch it. Vaughn had at least 4 misplays last night at RF. It is unbelievable that TLR will double down and put back Vaughn in RF. Ditto for Grandal DH again. No adjustments again.

Wasn’t Moncada an original 2 nd baseman? He should be able to play there adequately as neededl

Dylan go after the hitters, you got superior stuff. Do not nibble around. Avoid walks.

Anything can happen because pitching is the Sox Strength and in the playoffs it’s key.

Missed opportunity with both Guardians and Twins losing. Poor game by the Sox other than Cueto. No homers. 4 misplays by Vaughn in RF. Grandal an automatic out. TA 0-5 with 3 Ks leading off. The usual groundball city offense. No sense of urgency. No runners in motion. No clutch hitting. And so on and so on.

Would have preferred Seby pinch hitting for Yaz. Grandal is like 0-22 and Seby is hitting like .280. TLR is generally averse to pinch hit. No sense of urgency. No adjustment.

Moncada finally delivering and hustling. Wow!

And Billy Hamilton?
